What a wonderful bakery! The breads are amazing as are the patisseries and sandwiches. Top notch addition to the East Side!

The sourdough bread is excellent; I could easily devour an entire loaf in one sitting. I also tried the quiche, and it was amazing!

Stopped here for lunch after running errands, it did not disappoint!! Caprese pesto sandwich, ham and brie sandwich, turkey soup...all delicious!! Friendly and prompt customer service as well ?

This place is fantastic! It's a charming little sourdough bakery. The bread is simply stunning and incredibly tasty. I've recently decided to visit at least once a week for a loaf. Good bread is hard to come by, but Hillside makes it a breeze! I would definitely recommend it—10/10!

The sourdough breads, quiches, muffins, cookies, scones, and other baked treats are absolutely delightful. This café prides itself on using only the finest and freshest ingredients, so you're in for a wonderful experience. Be sure to sample the sandwiches (both breakfast and lunch) and the soups. I bought my first bread this morning at 6AM ,Despite the fact the Bäckerei opens at 8AM , but the owner was incredibly nice and opens up for 45 seconds and sold us a 50 degrees Celsius hot fresh loaf !!! What a fantastic experience! Thank You! If the idea of creating /baking Real Brezels , I will have a bunch of friends being at this bakery every morning (Wed Sat) ! Congratulations to the Hillside backers with their yummy authentic European tasting products !!!

I've been going to Hillside Hearth since they opened in the pandemic in 2020. I agree there was some customer service bumps as they got going. but the quality of food is always worth the wait. (and they have ironed out a lot of those first year kinks! Incredible baguettes and quiche slices. The ham cheese scone is fantastic as well. Fresh baked bread daily! And, the head baker has some gluten free tricks up his sleeve! Their sandwiches are large and great for sharing. Love their homemades soups, too! Hope you enjoy as much as I do.

I have visited Hillside Hearth several times. My experience has always been good. What I love most is walking in and smelling the aroma of fresh baked goods. There's a wall stocked with a variety of beautifully baked breads. The showcases contain French Macarons, cake slices, buttery croissants, muffins, pastries, and sometimes quiche. There are gluten-free options.They also offer several lunch items. I tried their chicken bacon ranch sandwich. It was ok. It came on a nice sourdough bread with chicken breast, ranch dressing, and field greens. It was missing red onion which would have made the sandwich more flavorful. The sandwich is just over $14.
