Charming outside eatery! Delightful vibe for young seasoned. Perfect post spring training game place great setting out of the fray of Scottsdale with a lot of charm and friendly staff! Good good!

I feel at home here. Probably because it is a home. Enjoyed all of the items I tried, but it was the setting and ambiance that sets it apart from the others. I would definitely recommend this place. Ver carta

Location, charm, and service were all there.. the only thing lacking was quality of food. The menu choices were appealing, but execution of the dishes fell short. Perhaps it was an off night, will try once again during another season to allow for change.

I had a reservation and still had to wait. Every time I came I was turned away because I didn't have a reservation. And I didn't realize I made a reservation for the last day they were open forever. Just my luck. Can't really say I ate here but can say they never were able to seat me.

Came here for the first time on a rainy night. The patio had plenty of heaters to keep you warm. The server was superb, she knew her stuff and was very friendly. This was my second time ever going. We wanted to go before they close and decided to meet some friends for dinner. Food was good, but I wished the portion sizes were slightly bigger for the price. Also, the woman seating guests was really rude to my friend before we arrived. I'm glad we got to go again before they close, but it was not the ideal last visit there. Service: Dine in

The food was amazing! Our waiter however was not. It was more than just being short staffed. He would come in and take care of another table next to us and completely ignore the fact we all needed refills when he looked right at us and could see. My dad asked for water and lemons twice and it took almost 20 minutes for him to come back empty handed yet again. This was some of the worst service I have ever experienced. The food was the saving grace of this place. This was our first time here and even if it wasn't already closing, not sure I would go back to endure that awful of service again.

I first had the pleasure of dining at House of Tricks when I was taken by surprise--almost ambushed--and ended up going on a date. I've been there several times since in differing settings, but let me tell you, for a date or otherwise, this is a restaurant that approaches perfection and more than made up for my embarrassing social awkwardness the first time around. House of Tricks is set inside an historic house in downtown Tempe and it's every bit as charming as that sounds. You'll sit at a cozy table and if there's a wait it's worth it because the wait is a hallmark of the intimacy of the dining experience. The service here is excellent. You might inexplicably stay away from the restaurant... Ver carta
