"The Riverside Inn is conveniently located diagonally across from the Northeastland Hotel, where we stayed, and set back slightly from the road. There is plenty of parking available both in front and in nearby lots, so you're unlikely to have to park on the street. We arrived just before 7 AM on a Thursday, and about a third of the 14 tables were occupied. The menu featured exactly the diner-style dishes we were hoping for, and we both ordered the two-egg breakfast—one with sausage and the other with bacon—paired with homemade white bread toast and coffee. Our meals arrived impressively fast, within just 3 to 4 minutes of ordering. Everything was cooked perfectly, and the over-easy eggs were among the best I've had in a diner. The toast was delightful, and the sausage links were fantastic. If I had one minor complaint, it would be that I prefer my home fries a bit crispier. However, they were still very tasty, and that’s just a personal preference. I mention this small issue to highlight my sincerity, as the Riverside Inn truly impressed us. The hotel desk clerk informed us that the diner has been run by the same couple for about 40 years, which speaks volumes about their experience. I only wish we lived closer than 500 miles away so we could visit more often. Additionally, while most of the patrons appeared to be locals, we felt very comfortable and welcomed during our visit."

"I love this place. Everytime my family and I visit the service is amazing and the food is always PERFECT. If more resteraunts could operate on a level like this one, experiences would be so much better. "Brunch was great and the moon pies were absolutely out of this world I mean the whoopie pies there are enough for four people homemade cream perfectly balanced not sticky chocolate bun yum yum yum!!! Parking: Mom and Pop place that's located a little out of the way but it has a gravel parking lot so there's usually enough parking Kid-friendliness: Mom and pop place family atmosphere Wheelchair accessibility: Yes Service: Dine in"

"I noticed when reading all of the reviews for the Presque Isle Maine PH, that a lot of folks were listed as “local guides”!! I had NO IDEA there were sooo MANY Maine guides in this area! I am originally from coastal Maine, and had not been up this way in decades. I now live in Calais, but have been craving Pizza Hut pizza, so i jumped on here to find the closest one, and it seems we do not have one in Calais; but there are a couple over the border in Canada, as well as one in Presque Isle Maine, as well as in Houlton Maine, or so it seems….So….. I am, needless to say, quite disappointed that none are close to me here in Calais, Maine. I used to frequent the Bangor PH (we loved the service staff at their Broadway Shopping Center location) as I am actually from that area. However, due to my health, and the need to regain my strength in order to get back to my own place/home, i am temporarily in Calais, with plans to move back to the Bangor (Bucksport) area SOON!! I HOPE! And let me clarify, that although i look forward to being back in a more familiar area (and the area where the majority of my family friends reside), i have found the Calais area to be just SOOOO friendly MOST pleasant. It has changed a lot in the 35-40 years since i had actually spent any time here, but definitely still a lovely little town, with SUCH nice, friendly welcoming people!! Hopefully i get a chance soon, to skip over to P.I. And check out THEIR Pizza Hut!! Meanwhile, keep those reviews coming, and all of you PH staff, keep up the great job ya’ll are doing!! You must be doing SOMETHING right, because i noticed how MANY Maine Guides posted positive reviews, and i have found Maine guides won’t return to an establishment with bad food, and/or poor service! Can’t wait to give ya’ll a try soon!!"

"We dined at this restaurant for Valentine's Day and found that it could benefit from some modernization. Despite having to wait 15 minutes past our reservation time, the service was excellent and everything was served promptly. The food was average, with some dishes being more enjoyable than others. The complimentary bread was delicious, but the polenta could have used more flavor. The steak and shrimp were the standout dishes, with the mixed veggies and gnocchi being less impressive. Overall, the meal cost around $240, not including tip. While we would return for the steak and shrimp, we may pass on the other dishes."
