Jackie's Place - Carta

This place was recommended to us by a friend who lives in the area. Typical soul food, service was good. The food was OK. He had the oxtail which was excellent. I have the fried fish with Black Eyed Peas and collard greens, it was a little salty for myliking. Staff was friendly helpful.

Amazing food, friendly staff and a full bar. Prefer y from table or take out. I sat at a table, preferred via QR code and service was quick. The food was hot, fresh and delish. I asked for a little extra spicy green sauce and no problem! The bar hastwo TVs and I'll be back for college football on a Saturday.

Wow. Such a cool concept. Sit down and order from your phone from the menu at each table. The fried chicken was amazing. Crispy, moist and not greasy. The brisket loaded nachos were also very good. Best potato salad I've had at a restaurant. Brisket wasgood except for a couple dry pieces. The staff was so friendly and helpful. True hospitality. A favorite for sure. Ver carta

Came here with a coworker and had a good lunch. Ordered the cracks-lacking, and a cup of seafood gumbo. Food came out fast and hot, good flavor and portion size. Place was clean and friendly staff. Wasn?t sure if I needed to flag down a waiter, or orderthrough the phone, but never ended up getting a drink refill, not a huge deal. Would like to come back and sample some pies.

The parking situation is small and tight, but the vibe and atmosphere of the restaurant are fantastic! We ordered a variety of dishes to sample. The ribs, fried chicken, sweet potatoes, oxtail, and fish were all delicious. However, I wasn't a fan of the pork, cornbread, gravy, and Mac and cheese. We also tried two desserts that, while small, were just okay in terms of taste and quite pricey. Despite this, I would still return to explore other menu options.

A good option if you are craving soul food. The staff is friendly, and the place is super clean and with a lot of natural light. Be aware they are suffering (like many others) from a lack of staff, so the wait could be longer than expected. For lunch, Iordered: Chicken and Waffles Mac and cheese Coleslaw Food arrives at the right temperature, with flavor and the textureyou appreciate every bite. And PLEASE, do yourself a favor and order its banana pudding... chef's kiss.

The Fried Fish Plate picture looks delicious; however, the actual presentation was sensational. My plate arrived with an order of crispy, moist, well seasoned, meaty, fried Basa Catfish. Condiments of tartar sauce, hot sauce ketchup complemented a superbly prepared fried catfish meal. The Collard Greens Black Eyed Peas were simply “packed with flavor.” The warm, soft, buttered Cornbread muffin mopped up the delicious Collard Green pot liquor the tender, creamy, delectable Black Eyed Pea drippings on my plate.
