My wife and I used to live in Haiti, where we fell in love with fried plantains and goat. We’ve really missed those dishes for quite some time. Our dinner tonight was a delightful trip back to the Caribbean! The only things missing were the humidity and the music.

I found the food to be quite disappointing and lacking authenticity. The plantains were tough, and each bite felt like I was crunching on something hard. Additionally, there was an unpleasant burnt taste to the dish. I was really dissatisfied, especially because I have a deep appreciation for Jamaican cuisine.

So, I ordered at 6:45 pm. I know they close at 8, but I thought that wasn't too late to order. The dude literally put cold chicken in a styrofoam container and handed it to me. I got the chicken and ox tails, so the containers were put in plastic. It seemed barely warm, but I didn't think to check it before I left. I only drove 5 minutes down the road and the food was cold cold. All of it. The flavor of the meat seemed okay. The cabbage had no seasoning. The rice and peas tasted like it sat out since they opened that morning. Unfortunately, really disappointed. Ver carta
