These cupcakes don't disappoint!! F they are good and moist, chocolate heaven. Ahhh so many good vegan and gluten free options in downtown now. It's a blessing and curse to be walking distance from this place. I want to celebrate everything with a cupcake!

Absolutely the best! James and the Giant Cupcake created a stunning cupcake tower for our wedding. Not only were the cupcakes DELICIOUS (and they were vegan and gluten-free!), but we also received so many compliments from friends asking where we got them and how they could get some for themselves. Found this cute gem with a friend at lunch last week. He wanted to get cupcakes for some on his team's bday. They have a nice selection of unique styles and flavors. They even have a 50% section at the bottom for day old cupcakes. They said red velvet and chocolate are their best sellers. I loved the red velvet with cream cheese! My friend V loved the chocolate. We even went back the next day to get a mix for us and and a few coworkers/friends in the bldg. (the smaller pic with 6 minis . I saved my favorite cupcake w/the light green frosting chocolate on top for someone special who works nearby tho. They liked it.

James and the Giant Cupcake is a great name for a little bakery on 17th Street in Oakland. I go there once a year for my Daughter's birthday. she eats strictly vegan so I go there to order her specially made vegan cupcakes in all different flavors and a dozen of the Mini cupcakes for the rest of the family. There is one thing you should know and that is they are a little pricey. I paid $28.00 for a dozen mini cupcakes. A regular sized cupcake is $3.50 each but worth every penny. You can order a large cupcake that is specially designed for a Birthday, Mother's day, Valentine's day, Graduation and more that will cost you $7.50. It's a little more than I would like to pay but, they decorate it...

They also offer mini versions for a smaller treat. I bought one during my last visit and saved it until the next day, and it was just as tasty! They sell day-old cupcakes at half price, which is a great deal. Four full-sized cupcakes cost around $19.00, and everything is neatly wrapped. There are two outdoor tables if you want to enjoy your treat right away.
