"Used to be frequent visitors a few years back. Came to visit and very disappointed. Pros: seated quickly, food came quickly, free refills on chips and salsa. Great view of water Cons: dead fly traps on windows next to table. Flies and rice on window sill. Dirty carpet(spilled or stained salsa on carpet). Never refilled drinks. Stale chips. Prices went up, environmental atmosphere went down. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 2 Recommended dishes: Tex Mex"

"I recently dined at the Vierling Restaurant located at 119 S Front St in Marquette, MI. I went there for dinner and it was quite busy that night, so there was a bit of a wait. However, I didn't mind as I was able to snag a seat at the bar where the bartenders were very attentive and helpful with my drink and food orders. The whitefish chowder and Parmesan crusted chicken I ordered were both delicious. I also appreciated the beautiful bar and interior of the restaurant, which has a charming late 1800's vibe. Overall, I would recommend paying a visit to this restaurant."

"We were a local party of six adults, early evening on a Friday night. We ordered a fried chicken dinner poutine, a stucko burger, and four Friday fish fry whitefish dinners. The poutine lacked flavor and gravy. The chicken, fries and gravy all needed some salt. We asked for extra gravy and were given more without charge. The burger was burnt. Not just overcooked but burnt. The burger made it out of the kitchen, past the servers and onto our table with patties that were visibly burnt. Are they, “Marquette’s #1 burger” really? The four whitefish dinners were excellent! Two of the dinners had rolls, two came without. Our drinks were kept filled, and our food arrived in the perfect amount of time. Portion sizes are generous. The wait staff was polite and professional. The under seasoned food, burnt burger, and simply forgetting the rolls on two of four dinners tells me a story of undertrained staff. The restaurant has a sign that clearly tells customers that the 3.9% merchant fee to use credit cards is passed onto the customer."

"To my surprise, this restaurant also offers veggie pizza and other veggie options. My friends and I were looking for a good option for non vegetarian and vegetarian restaurant and we found this on Google Maps. We really like the ambience and the food options that this restaurant serves. Restaurant staff are very friendly and welcoming. The service is fast and up to the brand. We would definitely recommend wafers to offer them. They are nice crispy and delicious. Breadsticks and pizza are tasteful. Breadsticks are filled with mozzarella cheese. In addition to pizza, they also offer gros, burgers, soup and salad. I would certainly recommend this restaurant, whoever visits the Upper Peninsula."

"Iron Bay is one of our favorite Marquette restaurants. We are happy to know it has weathered the pandemic. That said there are always improvements that can be made as we return to better times. The food remains very good but regrettably the choices are quite limited. If fewer choices are effects of the disruptions that is understandable but hopefully a return to a broader choice of entrees is on the horizon. Service was good and staff is friendly and welcoming. The interior dining area could use some refreshing. If management can shake off the effects of the last months Iron Bay will continue to be a favorite."
