"During my search for delicious cumin beef or lamb, I stumbled upon this restaurant in the NYU Dental area. Not only did the dish come with rice for $21 in cash, but the host also asked if I needed water or extra rice. I would rate the dish a 7.5 out of 10; it could have been improved with more vegetables or colorful peppers. Although there were no birdseye chilies, it was still quite spicy. The portion size was generous, allowing me to take half home for later. I’ve been frustrated by expensive chef’s special dishes that don’t include basic white rice, so it's refreshing to find places that still make it a standard part of the meal."

I'm not really a fan of the meatballs, but you absolutely have to try the soup dumplings—they're amazing! <3

The food is excellent! This is the only place in the area where you can find a delicious Lion Head Meatball.

The service was pleasant, but the food lacked any flavor. It was spicy and extremely salty, but there was no other taste to enjoy. Unfortunately, I wouldn't return. Ver carta

This is a go-to classic place with a sense of home cooked Chinese meal. They have really authentic Chinese cuisine that is quite comforting and reasonably priced.Food: 5/5

An ok noodle house. Nothing to write home about but the prices are reasonable. I ordered noodle soup with fish and pickled vegetables. The vegetables were 3 baby bok choy and some overcooked pieces of kale or seaweed. The fish was a whole fish but with very little meat on it. It was $14.00Food: 4/5

This will be a quick review. The food tastes fine. But the portions are so small that the $13 price tag for a lunch special is a total ripoff. I'm not kidding you when I tell you there were 4-5 slivers of pork in the dish. And by calling them slivers, I'm being generous. It does some business because it's connected to Baruch college. An absolute ripoff on price and value. Ver carta

Got the generals tsos again and it was mostly gristle and hard chunks. Very bad meat quality this time. Also got the beef noodle soup and it was gross. The beef was a very tough cut mostly connective tissue the noodles were too soft. My friend got the chicken fried rice which was good. This place is wildly inconsistent. They should raise quality and price.Room is small. Service was quick to pick up trash. I won't be back even though it's directly below my hotel.

Loved the white meat sesame chicken! It was less breaded than most other restaurants, very flavorful with big juicy pieces. : definitely a highlight because I think it must be healthier than most other restaurants. They use different/thinner noodles for their lo mein. It thought it was tasty! I ordered beef and it had onions and cabbage. It was giving me Shanghai vibes for sure. Also, lovely staff! We got to conversing and had a nice time here. We ate here to have everything fresh! Would recommend it :

"We went to Bread N Wine on a early Saturday afternoon for brunch. We were greeted and seated by the servers who were attentive. The food was okay the bread was really soft and fresh. My partner got the French Lentil Soup, Spinach and Tomato Egg Bake andI got the French onion soup, egg omelette with spicy tomato avocado and onions. I wasn 't happy with my omelette because thespicy just meant it was covered in hot sauce within. For beverages, we got chai lattes (we later found out it wasn 't tea basedbut rather coffee) and we had the option of oat milk, almond milk or regular milk. In terms of our overall experience we feltby the end too many things were steering the experience south; the worst was when we were accused of using counterfeit money topay for the tip. There was no special marker used to prove that the money was counterfeit or technology to back up this claim. That experience alone left a bad taste in our mouth as we left embarrassed by that claim, kind of shook from that, we stilladded the tip to our credit card 18%. As we walked out and talked about how weird that was, the owner of the business nextdoor overheard us and asked to see the $20 bill he showed us that our money was real and validated what we knew, that themoney wasn 't counterfeit. When we went back into Bread N Wine to discuss this there was no apology, just well, it felt thatway , shrug. It left a terrible feeling. We would not go back after that, this is not how you treat customers from start tofinish, hence the 2 star review."
