The cocktails and food were very good! The marlin was a rare treat and very declines! The service wasn’t great, but I could see the staff was working their tails off doing the best they could.

Did a family share of a number of plates. The green beans are like French fries. We shared the lobster, scallop ravioli, shashimi, crispy rolls, fried chicken, and snapper. Finished with bread pudding and the cheesecake.

we had fish with Soba noodles and lamb. the first was excellent, the lamb ok, bite overdone and with sweet some of them little taste. also the senf sauce was a bit dry. a very positive experience. recommended, not least for the attentive service. Ver carta

years ago we always ate in a pacific cafe in kauai. we were so sad when it was closed. chef josselin has opened jo2 now. the menu is somewhat different, but the essence of the aromas of the original restaurant is still there. the fish was fresh and the human lamb was delicious.

A visit to JO2 is a musts for us whenever we visit Kauai. For the budget conscious, try the $35 special from 5 pm to 6 pm. They offer a wine pairing at a reasonable price for a good healthy serving. You will get a great sample of their menu and, for me, I don’t leave feeling empty. If you go with the menu, I like the crispy duck confit salad and green bean tempura.

the restaurant was very busy when we arrived. the hostess was super friendly and offered to sit at the bar that was perfect. we had the pleasure of letting cody wait for us. he was well informed about the menu and gave some great suggestions. I enjoyed watching him make different cocktails that the restaurant offers. I wish I could have tried everyone! cody- thanks for making our evening so much more pleasant! the food was absolutely delicious, every bite! thank you, chef!

Ordered and food arrived for kids almost immediately. An hour later and food had not arrived. Asked and the waitress brushed us off. Suddenly the chef sends us an apology- but everyone else around us who arrived 30-45 mins after us had their dishes already. When we asked to speak to a a manager, he never apologized. Simply explained that the ticket went in wrong. Will never ever recommend this place. Food was less than par. Service was horrible. Don’t go. Dana is a waitress that doesn’t deserve to work here.

We anticipated a good meal but were surprised and delighted by how fantastic it was. Chef Yanik ran the kitchen and what they produced was fabulous. The food was interesting and yummy. Started with fresh hamachi sashimi with ponzu sauce and a really fabulous chicken liver mousse with pickled blueberries on crisp crostini. It sounded interesting and was definitely surprising. The mousse was light and all the flavors together were incredible. We also had roasted carrot ravioli and a mahi with fresh veggies. Then we finished with buttermilk panna cotta with fruit.
