Joe's Oyster Bar Restaurant

Definitely a place to visit if you love fresh seafood. Another one of my favorite go too places for seafood. I always make it a priority to go when I'm in town.

If you are all about fine dining with white table clothes then stay away. If you are about a great tasting, perfectly cooked, filling plate of food that does not break the bank then this place is for you. My husband and I both got the Nathan, I added an extra fillet, my husband and extra crab cake, which brought our cost from 13 to 20 each. Unfortunately I did not bring my camera on that outing and I regret it; if you'd have seen the amount of food we got on our styrofoam plate, you wouldn't go elsewhere. This is one of the worst restaurant experiences I 've had in this area. No greeting when we arrived. Finally waved someone down to ask for a table. He said go in there . Had to hunt down another server to ask where to sit. And then twiddled our thumbs while trying to make eye contact with any server that passed by. When we were finally acknowledged (just before walking out), we ordered a dozen oysters (I 've seen all the recommendations for Joe 's having the best oysters in SPI) and the Nathan grilled fish, shrimp a crab cake. I have to disagree! The oysters were small and grainy, filled with sand. The crab cake was burnt on the outside and mushy on the inside, lots of filler, minimal crab.... Ver carta
