Charging money for a little extra sauce on the side is ridiculous and honestly kinda ruined our experience. When you spend almost $80 on sushi, you’d think they could offer a little spicy mayo without an extra charge. disappointing. Ver carta

I love this place! Definitely my favorite sushi restaurant in Gaithersburg. It is never disappointed me and the quality is always fresh! If you are looking for a good sushi spot, this is the place to come. I usually get salmon nigiri and sharp salmon crispy. The miso soup is very delicious. The spicy tuna rolls are also very good.

The food here is always incredibly fresh and tastes amazing. The staff is very friendly, personable, and knowledgeable. The prices are quite reasonable for the quality of the food. UPDATE: I gave this place a try again. This time, I tried sashimi set. The fish was really good and fresh. They gave me miso soup and rice too. Great for lunch! I didn?t like octopus tho Good service, beets salad was also good, but sushi was mediocre,small and fish quality is just ok for the price, not that fresh, kinda slimy. Not worth it. 3 stars are for service and thesalad. Ver carta

I had an amazing dining experience at this restaurant, visiting twice and enjoying both occasions. The Green Monster sushi was a standout—delicious and full of flavor, featuring avocado and shrimp. The crispy spicy tuna was also quite good, though not the best I've ever had. The California roll was exceptional, ranking among the best I've tried. I couldn’t resist trying the pork bun, and it was absolutely delightful, even though I usually don't eat pork. Our meal included six rolls and one appetizer, totaling $89 before tip. Overall, I’d rate the food, service, and atmosphere all at 5 out of 5.

My server, Karin, was incredibly attentive and offered enthusiastic menu recommendations when I asked for suggestions. I kicked off my meal with the Duroc Pork Belly Bun. I’m not a fan of watermelon, so I hesitated when I saw watermelon radish listed in the dish. Fortunately, I decided to go for it anyway, and I’m so glad I did— it was fantastic! Next, I tried the Green Monster, a signature sushi roll, and it did not disappoint. It was packed with all my favorites: shrimp, shiitake, tuna, avocado, and spicy mayo. Overall, I'm really glad I chose this place and I look forward to returning whenever I'm back in town!

TRUST ME! I consider myself a sushi connoisseur : This is my favorite dish and I am pretty spoiled after trying sushi by Daisuke Nakazawa who was apprenticed to Jiro Ono. I tried most of the places in MD and I can assure you that Kenaki is the local cream of the crop! The fish is always fresh and the flavors compliment each other exquisitely. Although, the prices are on the higher end than other places around, it’s worth every penny. If you are a sushi aficionado like me, you would definitely appreciate this restaurant.
