"The price per plate was $135, which I thought was quite steep. Unfortunately, the lobsters were overcooked and chewy, resembling rubber. The crab legs were similarly overcooked; they fell apart into mush as soon as I tried to remove them from the shell. I also ordered a filet mignon, which didn’t even resemble a proper filet. I requested it to be cooked medium, but when it arrived, it was also overcooked and dry inside. Clearly, they lack the skill to cook steak properly, and I was really let down. The desserts were hit or miss. The cakes and pastries were excessively sweet, making them nearly inedible, but I did enjoy the fresh fruit—it was cold and delicious. The chocolate-covered strawberries were a highlight, but unfortunately, I couldn’t enjoy much else. I left feeling completely unsatisfied after spending $135, and I wouldn't consider returning. On a side note, I lost my partial denture, and the staff was kind enough to rummage through some trash for me, showing a lot of effort. However, the manager interrupted and wouldn’t let me look for it, stating it was my choice not to continue. His attitude was quite dismissive, and it felt hypocritical when I saw staff handling food without gloves just outside. Despite the beautiful setting and the hope instilled by the reviews my sisters and I read, we all left feeling let down. At least I came away with some nice pictures, but paying $135 for a meal, I expect far better quality food—something that was lacking here. While I’m glad others had a good experience, in my humble opinion, the food didn’t live up to the hype at all."

"This cozy restaurant is owned by a local family and offers a casual dining experience. The food is delicious and the staff is friendly and dedicated. It may not be the best option for large groups or those in a rush, but the sense of community makes it a beloved spot. The Apple Crisp French toast is particularly amazing, and the Fish and Chips, Fisherman’s Platter, and Lobster French Toast are all excellent choices. This restaurant is truly a gem in Charlestown."

"I had a great experience with the food at this restaurant, but my experience was soured by the service. My girlfriend and I ordered takeout and decided to have a drink while we waited. We asked the host if we could sit at the bar, but there was no room so we were seated at a table instead. After 30 minutes, our food arrived along with our bill which included an "AUTO GRATUITY" of 18% of the total bill, including the food we had ordered for takeaway. While I am always happy to tip, I found it unreasonable that the auto tip was more than the cost of the two drinks we had ordered. I questioned the server about this politely, and was told it was the restaurant's policy. Charging 18% on all takeout orders seems like a rip-off to me. I have worked in the service industry for 4 years and have never encountered such a policy. Either this restaurant has a questionable policy or a dishonest employee trying to make extra money."

"Thought I would try this restaurant based on previous reviews. Was greeted as soon as I walked in and was told I could sit where I liked. Server was very pleasant and cheerful and supplied me with the specials list and menu. She took my drink order as well. Restaurant has a combination of booths and tables as well as an outside seating area. Sat inside at a table. Restaurant is on the dark side even with having picture windows at the front. There's a large bar area as well. And if you're a fan of country western music you'll feel right at home. Ordered the giant pretzel and the rib eye steak sandwich with sweet potato fries. The pretzel came pretty quickly, was warm and served with Dijon mustard. The rib eye sandwich came on a grinder roll with melted American cheese a side of au jus was also provided. The steak was tender with a couple of fatty/grisly spots but they did not take away from how tender the steak was. Having the au jus to dip the sandwich was great, deep beef flavor and added moisture and flavor to the sandwich.We'll seasoned and the roll was very fresh. Sweet potato fries were well fried and crispy. Portions were good sized and very filling. My server was very friendly and helpful. Great personality for working in a restaurant. Definitely will go back again to try some of their other menu items."

I particularly enjoyed the Eggs Benedict, Frybread, and the Smoked Salmon Hash with Poached Eggs, which was beautifully complemented by corncakes and cranberry chutney. The service was equally impressive, also receiving a 5 out of 5 for its attentiveness and friendliness. The atmosphere, while decent, rated a 3 out of 5, leaving room for improvement. Overall, if you’re looking for a fantastic breakfast, this place is definitely worth a visit!"
