"The atmosphere was clean, but the lighting made it difficult to see the menu. I ordered a chicken sandwich, but it was tough and lacking in flavor, almost like eating shoe leather. I was hoping to get some pepper, but I wasn't informed that they were out, nor did anyone ask if I wanted a substitute. On the plus side, I enjoyed the fries. However, I'm not sure if I'll return. I was really disappointed, especially since it was my daughter’s birthday and she is vegan; I had hoped for more vegan options. Unfortunately, no one seemed willing to help with that. The meal was a bit underwhelming, but at least the company was enjoyable."

"I had high expectations for this restaurant, but I was sadly disappointed. The prices were steep - $17 for a burger and then extra for fries? The burger itself was dry and poorly assembled. The salad was overpriced at $15 for a small portion. I've had better food at McDonald's. Our meal, which included 2 burgers, a salad, and 3 pieces of pie, totaled $100. It was not worth the cost. Our server, Kevin, was unprofessional and seemed more interested in announcing his last day. Every request we made seemed to be a bother to him. Unfortunately, we will not be returning to this establishment."

"I spent 10 min trying to find something sub par to put in this review but the best thing I could come up with is the steak knife was mildly dull. However, the pork chop was so tender you really didn't need it anyway. From the moment we walked in the friendly staff was on the ball and happy to be here. We sat at the bar and the bartender Ryan was an absolute master of the trade with in depth knowledge of what was not a job but an art to him. I pride myself in being a connoisseur of a fine old fashion and made the finest one I've ever had. We respectively had the pork and salmon (changing plates during) and was amazed by the quality of product, preparation, rapidity, and flavor. I couldn't recommend this fine establishment any more highly. "Here’s what we ordered: potato soup, hamachi sashimi, egg yolk pappardelle, and a burger. We enjoyed everything except the burger; the meat was a bit dry, and the bun was cold and unappealing, which made it feel out of place compared to the other dishes. I’m usually not a fan of potato soup, but I was won over! The hamachi sashimi was delicious and reminded us of Uchi in Austin, while the ceviche was fantastic—definitely something we’d order again. The pappardelle, without a doubt, was the best pasta I've ever had. Though I must mention that we hadn’t had a great meal in a few days, so we might have been a bit biased. In addition to the wonderful food and overall fine dining experience at this small-town restaurant, Nick the bartender, who was on his first day, crafted some amazing mocktails. I particularly loved the honey vanilla iced coffee with orange zest (or something close to that). Overall, I highly recommend Birch. It’s a fantastic place with great food, a wonderful experience, and excellent service."
