The restaurant offers fantastic homegrown food and is situated in a cozy, divey neighborhood that adds to its charm as a hidden gem. The staff was attentive and worked seamlessly as a team. Overall, I would rate the food a perfect 5/5.

Stellar service, and hands down best pork poboy out there. The gumbo was quite tasty but we didn't get many of the ingredients in our serving. That chicken! Best batter out there, and some serious moist great tasting chicken. If in New Orleans you have to get some of this food. Great prices as well A

A truly authentic spot brimming with character and traditional cuisine. The service is excellent, with friendly staff and prompt food delivery. It's the ideal place to sample classic dishes like shrimp and fried chicken. You can also choose from a variety of side options with your main course, such as Mac n Cheese or potato salad. 10/10 – a must-try again as soon as possible! I visited for my birthday, and they surprised me with a lovely song. The southern hospitality was fantastic! The peach tea and Lil Dizzy drink were outstanding. Everything we tried was delicious: the gumbo, chicken wings, greens, and mac and cheese. If you want a satisfying meal, this is the place to go! Customer service also deserves a 10/10!

Very friendly corner establishment with great food. We had the shrimp grillade, gumbo, dirty rice and bread pudding. The gumbo was good and full of meats; the dirty rice was good as well. The shrimp grillade was the star for us! We've never had anything like it- it was similar to a blend of shrimp grits and shrimp scampi with extras added. Every bite was heaven! The amazing staff was always checking on us as well.

Visiting from DC today I must say. Everything was beyond amazing. The gumbo was so rich and authentic, the fried chicken… listen the fried chicken was the real finger licking good, we had one side of everything AMAZING! Let’s talk about the staff… THE BEST! My sisters and I visited New Orleans for our Sisters' Trip! The first meal we had was here at Lil Dizzy's! We were greeted with great hospitality. The food was very good! And at the end of our visit, the owners were happy to take a picture with us! I definitely recommend this place! It was a great way to get our day started! Oh yeah...do not forget Da Dizzy! It's not too much, but is just enough of an alcoholic beverage to make you smile!

Although trout isn't usually one of my favorite fish, this dish was fantastic—crispy on the outside as if it were broiled, yet tender and flaky on the inside. The dirty rice and collard greens were simply the best I’ve ever had. And don’t miss the fried chicken, available in any parts you choose, along with their macaroni and cheese—it’s a must-try. I got two proteins and three sides, and with a 20% tip, my total was only $36. They also have Po Boys and Gumbo on the menu. I will definitely be returning!

My daughter and I decided to have lunch at this highly recommended spot we had heard about during a nearby tour. I ordered the shrimp po-boy while my daughter opted for the fried chicken.
