This diner is a must-visit spot in a small town along I-40 in New Mexico. Even if you're not hungry, the onion rings are worth trying. The food is delicious, but don't expect fine dining service. I had a pleasant surprise when visiting this café at a truck stop. The menu offered a variety of options and the food was very tasty. The Mexican plate was generous, with tacos, enchiladas, and tamales. The fish and chips were crispy and delicious, accompanied by a tasty sauce. The environment was plain but very clean, and the server was super friendly and helpful.

Stopped for breakfast. It's a good thing we were hungry because portions are huge. I had beef enchiladas, and they made them special for me from flour tortillas instead of corn. THANK YOU. We stayed here for the night and found plenty of available parking spots. It was easy to get in and out of the restaurant. The diner was delicious, but be cautious of the salsa as it is quite spicy! I recently dined at this restaurant for dinner and was highly impressed with my experience. I'm sorry to say that this place has gone from one of my favorites to a no go I've been stopping here for as long as I can remember and always looked forward to great food and good service... this evening, I recieved neither. It disapointing when one of your favorite places becomes just another place I'm my humble opinion, Lisa's was much better off when it was just a hole-in-the-wall mom and pop truck stop.. it had a charm that actually made me willing to wait patiently for one of the six tables and have an amazing meal. I used to drive a truck, so my review comes from my experience as a professional driver. Truck stops are a necessary evil in the trucking world. Federal regulations force drivers off the road after a maximum of 14 hours. When that threshold hits, you MUST get off the road, and it doesn't matter where you are. That's why you see trucks parking on exit and entry ramps by the interstate. I was driving across New Mexico and I had made plans to stop at the brand name truck stop that was further up the road.
