"It was NY eve. 6:30pm. Server was surly from the beginning. I asked to taste the Bolognese sauce and was told that everything is prepared to order so I 'm not sure that is possible . Bolognese is not prepared when ordered it is pre made. I was provided with a taste and it was good so I ordered a plate of spaghetti and the ragu. Together very ordinary. No offer of cheese to top the meal. Asked for water once never came. Not crowded, so I am unsure why server was so slow to react. Perhaps she desired to have the evening off. Note the cabinets in the entryway house ceramics and wines. The tops of the glass cabinet about 15 feet long I do not beliee has been dusted or cleaned for years. We sat on the other side of this cabinet and my view was directly looking at the down lights over each cabinet 's dirty glass. Unappealing for a diner. Place needs help. I would call this a fake Italian restaurant."

Lucca has been serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner since it opened. It is a hidden gem in South Orange County, but worth the effort to find.

Everything was great except..... Provide cushions for chairs. The center of the seats are lower than the metal frame, cutting off circulation to my legs.

We just happened upon this restaurant when another was closed. However, I am thrilled the other restaurant was closed as this was wonderful. We had great salads, generous portion and the service was excellent. Ver carta

One of those little restaurants that is unique. Comfortable and nice. Interesting selection of food. I had the Extra Large Ravioli's and LOVED them. I'm not a bread pudding person, but ended up splitting it for dessert...FABULOUS.

Italian restaurant without bread nor olive oil and the food is not that great and yet the price higher than high end restaurant. Maggiano's in Costa Mesa even have better price than this. The service is not that great either. Overall is okay but def. I'm not coming back.

Took friends to Lucca for their first time to celebrate a birthday and wedding anniversary. As always, my dinner was excellent, and my friends can't wait to go back. Mario, our waiter, was delightful and kept refilling our toast and delicious tapenade at our request several times. Love, love, love the Short Rib Bordelaise pasta! Ver carta

My friend and I enjoyed a brunch on Sunday after church at the restaurant. The place was not very busy and the menu offered a variety of options ranging from traditional breakfast fare to brunch and lunch dishes. Although the menu was a bit confusing, we were able to navigate through it and customize our meal to our liking. Overall, it is a great choice for a weekend brunch on either Saturday or Sunday.
