The service was excellent. Our waiter, Matt, was quick and attentive. However, the real highlight was the food. Generous and hot servings of the most delicious Italian cuisine I've had in a while. I will definitely return next time I pass through town.

The restaurant was basic and nothing particularly special. The bread was good and warm, but needed butter for flavor. I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs, which was just average. Some people in my group enjoyed their meals, but one person was excited about it. I'm not sure if maybe the chef was having an off day. If I ever return to this restaurant, I may give it another chance. Ver carta

The food is decent, but I've had better Italian dishes elsewhere. It's not a bad restaurant to visit, and I would recommend it to others. The service was good, and overall, it was a pleasant dining experience. The atmosphere was nice and I would rate the food a 4, service a 5, and atmosphere a 5. I recommend trying the Chicken Parmesan. The price per person is between $20-$30 for dinner.

The food at this local Italian restaurant was decent. The salad was plain but had good dressing, and the pasta was flavorful. The warm rolls were also good, and the tiramisu was well made. However, the coffee didn't come until halfway through dessert and there was no cream until after. The strong smell of cleaning solution at the end of the meal was overpowering. The waitress didn't clear any plates until we had a small mountain of dirty dishes stacked up on half the table.

Food was good but little things loss a star .. one thing was paper napkins .. one little paper napkins per person is not enough with bread and olive oil and a cloth napkins would been more suitable .. service could been a little more attended at clearing the table of empty plates they piled up till the end of our meal . Waited to check out our bill with no one in sight for minutes. Takes more than good food to raise the level to just eating to a great eating experience .. really missed the mark.. Ver carta

Luigi’s is absolutely the Best! Homemade everything! We go there on a regular basis. Whether you live here or somehow you are passing through Mattoon, Il. Anything you order will be an experience you will never forget! You will want to keep coming back for more! The Cook makes everything to perfection! The Waitresses do an excellent job! We arrived in Maroon while traveling and decided to try Luigi's based on reviews. What a great establishment!! The bread was awesome, the salads are fresh, not bagged. Sure they had one tomato and one cucumber, but you know what? I ordered an entree and the salad was just included, no biggie. The ranch dressing is awesome! I ordered the chef's favorite. It was so good!! The pasta dishes were fresh, hot and the taste was superb!! The kids wanted to stop on the way back two days later, but alas, we were not hungry.... Luigi's is a restaurant that I don't visit often, but whenever I do, the food is consistently delicious. While there are some areas that could use improvement, one thing that stands out is the high quality of their dishes. I have noticed a few things that could be better, such as the odd smell in the dining area and the overly bright lighting for an Italian restaurant. Additionally, there are usually very few other guests when I visit, so increasing business could help improve the overall atmosphere. The two waitresses I have encountered seem busy with other tasks and don't check on customers frequently. However, their pizza is outstanding - the thin and crispy crust, simple sauce, high-qual...
