"Overall: Solid, good empanadas with interesting sauces (recommend the chimichurri sauce) in a cozy setting Food: We tried the Peruvian traditional beef empanada, mushroom and chicken empanada. We got the recommended sauces which was the chimichurri sauce for the beef and the rocoto side sauce for the chicken empanada. I had them to go and requested that the empanadas be heated up. Chimichurri sauce Bummer that the sauces are $0.50 each. I would have preferred that they increase the price of the empanada to include a sauce. This was the best sauce. You could see all the ingredients in it, and it felt so fresh. Highly recommend! Rocoto sauce Tasted like a vinegary hot sauce, more like tabasco sauce. I wouldn't necessarily recommend this sauce on its own personally just because it tastes like something I have had before. They probably make their own from rocoto peppers though, so maybe it's just not my thing. Beef empanada The beef was good it had raisins in it. It was particularly delicious with the chimichurri sauce. It was filled with a lot of beef but honeslty they could have bulked it up with more of the fillers such as potatoes and onions (or even chopped up the olives so you can have it in more stuff. Chicken mushroom empanada The chicken mushroom was also good. It was more filling than the beef, probably because the chicken chunks were bigger and because the sauce is creamier to begin with. There were plenty of mushrooms. I had mushrooms in every bite! This might be personal preference, but I personally thought that it benefited from having the rocoto sauce because otherwise it would be too heavy on its own. The rocoto sauce tasted just like tabasco sauce. While I think that the empanada needs a sauce, I personally would have liked to have more chimichurri sauce for this. Service: I didn't dine in, just did take out. It took about 10 minutes to have them warm it up and package it. It took a bit longer than expected for the empanadas and sauce being already made (I assume, I could see it from a distance). The seating area is nice! I liked their llama slideshow playing on the television. Portion size: ok! They are more expensive than other places but that's because the portion size is bigger. One empanada is like a heavy snack or a very light lunch. We recommend two empanadas for an actual meal. (Your mileage may vary if you get the chicken mushroom empanada)"
