Fantastic smoked meats! Best breakfast around. Delicious fish dishes as well. This place is a hidden gem in a small town and definitely worth the trip!

The food here is outstanding—hot and freshly prepared! We tried the Wisconsin Brat mac and cheese and the brisket sandwich, both of which were fantastic. Definitely worth a visit!

This family-owned restaurant embodies what I love most about small-town America. If you find yourself in Black Earth, make sure to stop by for breakfast with your family. The prices are incredibly reasonable, and the portions are fantastic.

We used to wonder about the Black Earth... On our way out of town, we came across this charming little restaurant. Why not give it a try? We're so glad we did! The staff was friendly, and the food was absolutely delicious. Be sure to stop by and support the local community—you won’t be disappointed! We certainly weren't.

This restaurant is fantastic, offering excellent service and a wide variety of unique mac and cheese dishes served in a bread bowl. The food is top-notch and the portions are generous. My sister and our husbands walked in and were asked if we wanted breakfast or lunch. We all chose breakfast, but then the hostess/waitress abruptly informed us that we needed to hurry because we only had eight minutes. She then went to the back and told the cook, who responded angrily, demanding that we rush. The customer service was appalling, and we would never return there again. We promptly got up and left.

I was told there were no breakfast places in Black Earth. They were wrong. We tried this place today on our way to the Shoe Box. My wife got the senior pancake with bacon and I got the Black Earth Special Skillet. The pancake was huge and very good. My skillet was perfect with eggs a perfect over medium, perfectly cooked hash browns, lots of brisket and cheese. Neither one of us could finish it. My only suggestion would be to get Splenda packets for the coffee.

It was just my wife, our small child, and me, so ordering three items shouldn’t have been a problem. The waitress focused entirely on the other group, taking their drink orders, serving them their drinks, and placing their food orders before even acknowledging us. There was only one other table occupied in the entire restaurant—a single diner who had already placed his order before any of us arrived. I understand that the restaurant was short-staffed that day, but it felt very dismissive to be left waiting while the waitress attended to another group under the same circumstances. The approach to service seemed illogical. I sincerely hope my wife’s ethnicity had nothing to do with the treatm... Ver carta
