"No magic here. That being said, I like to give the bennifit of the doubt to places I 've only been to once. However, for $39 and change, I feel the food and service could have been better. Mongolian beef should not taste like super salty fish. Unless every other Chinese restaurant is doing it wrong. And it did. It Tasted like very salty fish. Also, the dish was $11 and change and comes with manditory rice. As in, I wanted to have vegetable lomein instead of rice and was told I could have an order of noodles on the side, and even if all I wanted was just the beef, the price was the same. With or without the rice and egg roll. You read that right, with or without no substitution, same price. The Rangoon were actually full of crab and cream cheese, so that was a plus, though they were hard. Also, the girl who took my order did not smile once. I gave three stars only because of the full rangoons, and maybe other dishes are better, but I doubt it. Save your money. So, I guess my quest for good consistent Chinese food continues on. Seriously, mandatory rice and egg roll ! What, they have some excess of fried rice they have to sell before it goes bad? First time visiting Magic Wok. You can tell it’s a family owned business. There’s nothing fancy about it but was definitely our speed. Quiet, clean, and the food was served hot. We enjoyed the food. Short and quick review because really the only thing I remember about this place was how bad it was. I had the chicken on a stick appetizer and the Mongolian Beef. (Picture below). Chicken on the stick was ok, nothing special, would not order it again. The Mongolian beef was nasty. It had no flavor and tasted watered down with way too much sauce. WOW. Exceptional Asian food. We got the Sesame chicken and Orange chicken. Both were delicious, came with fried rice and an egg roll. All white meat chicken and your meal is served on a real plate with real flatware. None of that styrofoam and plastic forks and spoons. The price was good, too. We also found the restrooms very clean and the overall impression of the restaurant is very well kept. I wish we had one of these close to where we live. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for and appreciates QUALITY Chinese food. Will definitely return for a stop by on my next trip through Alabama.

Exceptional Asian Cuisine at Magic Wok. Quaint atmosphere but great service and your food is served table side and on REAL dishes and flatware. Each entree is served with a fluffy plain fried rice and a vegetable egg roll. Was here with my husband only back in November and got the Orange Chicken and it was also wonderful. This has become our go-to spot for Chinese Food on our road trips through Alabama. Now, you should build one in Fort Oglethorpe, GA! I?m sure you would get AMAZING business! I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for high quality Asian food at a good price. And the service is very quick. Thank you, Magic Wok! Until next time!
