Mangiare Italian - Carta

Hosted a group dinner before high school graduation. Very, very nice atmosphere and delicious food. Waitress Chris handled our group of ten with grace under pressure. Everyone had a wonderful time. Thank you!

The food was decent. The service was excellent. The restaurant is cute, but the smell inside was overwhelmingly rotting building . We ate outside because I don 't think I could have survived inside. It was actually concerning.

When you first walk in the door there is a faint musty odor but it’s not a deal breaker and you’ll forget all about it quickly. Everyone in our group enjoyed their food. I had spaghetti and meatballs and it was delicious. We will go back. Ver carta

This was my 3rd time in the established nice mexican dinner. So first time was good but second time was horrible and I just went a third and the shrimp scampi was like eating rubber..very disappointed in the food and cost for terrible cooking.

“Fresh” bread came out cold and rubbery. Like they microwaved it. Same with the bruschetta. No sign that the bread was toasted today. Most likely this was left over from dinner service the night before and microwaved for us. Highly disappointed in the food quality. For $70.00. Save your money and go to Olive Garden. The staff however, amazing. Very sweet and kind.

edit... used to love this place but after 3 visits of being given regular pasta instead of gluten-free after asking the last time the waitress was even rude and asked if we wanted it replaced then asked if we wanted dessert... I wish Mangiare would move out of that building. It has such a musty smell, the floor is sinking near one of the posts, the facing on the street is damaged and falling off, and the black mold in the back of the building above the outdoor eating area is out of control. This is not Mangiare's fault as the city should condemn the building and force the owners to fix it. The church next door (part of the owner's building) had to leave because it was an unsafe area. I loved Mangiare's food and they are so nice but Please Just Move Your Restaurant so I can come back.

To be completely honest, the kind service is the most desirable thing. The restaurant is not in a coveted location and once you walk inside, it was very humid and had a funky smell. The waitresses were on top of it, we were promptly seated and our order taken. Our food came out fairly quickly but was quite disappointing itself. I ordered the pasta classico, the sauce was watery and the pasta was dry but the waitress was very amiable and tried very hard to make it better. She gave me another sauce which sufficed. Overall I wouldn’t return but I appreciate them having good service.

We visited this restaurant with another couple. We ate outdoors in the sun with their umbrellas for shade. I gave this a 4 for atmosphere because the back of the building is frankly ugly, but the weather was great, so that made it a 4. The server was a young woman, and she was outstanding. She did a lot to enhance the meal with her humor and her wonderful service. My wife and I split a wonderful salad with fresh greens and yummy dressing. For the main dish, we split lasagna, which was plenty for the two of us. The lasagna was some of the best either of us have had. This would be a place to try if you are in the area and want some wonderful Italian food. Ver carta
