"I absolutely love this restaurant! Every time I visit, I indulge in a deli sandwich, pick up some pastries from the display case, grab a coffee from the café, and select something deliciously Italian from the shelves. The sandwiches are consistently amazing, with my personal favorite being the classic Italian. The quality ingredients and freshly baked bread are so irresistible that I find myself craving them for days afterward. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. They prepare their cannolis to order, and their sfogliatella is incredible—I'm sure everything else is just as delightful. The coffee is always fresh and exactly what I need. I'm so grateful to have found this place, and I love sharing my recommendations with everyone I know!"

"pros: 5 service! the personal here is incredible. very attentive. sushi was good and the Burrata salad I ordered was delicious! Cons: stuff bake shrimp looked great out of a distance, so we ordered it. When it arrived, we were disappointed. it tasted as if the garnel had been under a heat lamp for hours. a lot of chewing and tasteless. everything in our bill was about $170 for 2 people. with this high price tag they hope that eating something to rave. it was at 8:00 a.m. on a Wednesday night, so I don't know if so close to the conclusion of our experience."

"We had a reservation for 7 and we're not seated until 7:40. Although apologetic, they did not offer a complimentary drink or appetizer for waiting patiently. The beet salad was tasty and enough for 2. I ordered the special stuffed haddock and lobster ravioli, which ended up coming with a salad. The waitress asked if I wanted to forgo the salad instead of offering a reasonable alternative. I had the salad which was good. we waited a long time before our entrees came out. We were not served bread or even offered bread. The meal came out and I can say for the price, I was disappointed with the portion of haddock and the lobster ravioli were warm at best. the flavor was good, but barely warm ravioli was very disappointing. my wife got the cioppino, which was full of seafood, but again, no bread, no crostinI. The waitress was nice, but not very attentive. By the end of the meal we were so disappointed we didnt even bother to stay for dessert or a drink. We will not be returning. The price of the meal for 2 people was absolutely not worth it. Save your money and go somewhere else."

"I used to really enjoy Oak Barrel Tavern, but my husband and I have become ill after our last few visits. After dining in-house, we experienced food poisoning almost immediately. We thought it was a one-time issue since we had eaten there many times before without any problems. We waited about six months before trying again, this time opting for DoorDash, but unfortunately, we got sick again shortly after eating (and we ordered different items than we had before). We gave it another attempt a few months later with a pick-up order, but once again, we ended up feeling unwell. After three separate occasions of getting sick, each with different food options and ordering methods, we've decided to stop going to the restaurant. It's a shame because the food is tasty, but it's just not worth getting sick over."

"The restaurant boasts an extensive wine and dinner menu, making it challenging to decide which entrees to try. Ultimately, we ordered three dishes, each accompanied by either soup or salad: Sicilian grilled salmon, ziti with roasted chicken, and the pork belly pasta, which was a feature of their limited Pig Fest menu for October. While waiting for our main courses, we sampled the rice and chicken soup, which was light and flavorful. However, the grilled Caesar salad wedge was unappetizing and we chose to leave it untouched for the rest of our meal. Our waiter kindly divided the three entrees into two servings for us, and the portion sizes were generous. The Sicilian grilled salmon was quite tasty, and I especially enjoyed the accompanying couscous. The salmon, however, was a bit on the dry side but still acceptable. The ziti with roasted chicken and the pork belly pasta were less impressive, lacking sufficient flavor. To add to the disappointment, the pork belly pasta contained very few pieces of pork belly; I suspect inflation may have had an impact. Given that the pork belly was meant to be the highlight of the dish, its flavor was unfortunately lost in the tart tomato sauce it was served with. When it came time to settle the bill, our waiter generously treated us to some peanut butter chocolate chip gelato, which was delightful. Thankfully, neither my guest nor I had any allergies! As for my first experience at this popular Worcester restaurant, I left feeling somewhat underwhelmed. The ambiance, attentive wait staff, and prompt service were the standout aspects of the visit. The atmosphere was calm and inviting, allowing us to enjoy our meal without feeling rushed—though this was the extent of the positives. Overall, the food was merely average. This restaurant gives the impression of being an upscale Olive Garden in disguise, minus the warm breadsticks."
