"While exploring Lake Huron, we came across this delightful diner in Roger City. The food was amazing—served hot, delicious, and very reasonably priced! The value for what we paid was exceptional! "Waited at the front to be seated. After standing there, with no one asking us, we asked, lady said you can seat yourself. No where did it indicate to seat yourself. Finally after sitting waiting for over 15 min, we again asked to be waited on. Finally he took our order reluctantly. Placed our order. We ordered fried mushroom app, my husband ordered a pizza, I ordered shrimp dinner, salad bake potato. Pizza came out first after 15 to 20 min. Finally after he ate 2 pieces of pizza asked about my salad he hurried got it. Mushrooms came out 15 min later.(appetizer) my shrimp dinner came out about 40 min later. Very poor service! Our hotel told us this was the best place in town to eat. Wow!! If that is true, there is not much to say about dining in Roger's City!"

"We do not recommend the pork slider sandwich, as it contained no pork at all. It was simply coleslaw, cheese, and bread. The bread was good if you're in the mood for a bread sandwich, but that wasn't what we expected. When we brought this up to the staff, they didn't acknowledge our concern or attempt to make it right. As for the atmosphere, the woman behind the bar and at the entrance was not very welcoming or inviting, which was disappointing since she is the first person you encounter. In fact, nothing about the place felt particularly friendly. Given our experience, I’m not sure I would spend my money to return. Although it was September and perhaps not peak season, that shouldn't excuse the lack of service. There are too many nice places on the west side of Michigan to choose from. "Walked in, nothing saying seat yourself and stood there for a few minutes waiting for the server to say something. Seated ourselves. Took the server literally 10 minutes to come over to ask for drinks. After 5 minutes of waiting to order drinks a group sat down a few tables away and got their orders in before us. Server came over gave us water that looked yellow from the water glass. Asked my husband what he wanted to drink and quickly walked away without asking me what I wanted to drink?? Another 10-minutes of waiting to order food Finally got to ask for my drink without my husband reseving his drink. My husband got the General Chicken with white Rice. He rates it a 6/10 I ordered the Mongolian Chicken. It was a 4/10 good for then but very poor thrown together. Beef stock with chicken and a WHOLE LOT of onions which was alright in the beginning but literally more than meat. Even a half of white onion they gave to me. The place was horribly outdated and the girl serving us had very poor waitstaff knowledge. In a bigger city she probably wouldn't make it a week. Place is probably great if you live there and that's the only option. But definitely would rather go somewhere else next time for a vacation. The soup they served was alright, we both rate it a 5/10 Wait time 1/10 Waitstaff 2/10 Atmosphere 3/10 Food 5/10"
