"eating was not disappointing, but there was no option for bad management. would recommend this place to eat, but not sure I would recommend it for a large group party. we made about 3 weeks reservations for a work, at 4:30-5 last night together. around 6:10 we were told by the server (not his fault) that his manager told him we had only 20 minutes and we had to go. they would eat every night we ordered in a box. after our server we had only reservations up to 6:30. some of us have liked the love martinis and our appetizers, so we asked our server at 5:45 if we could order later. that's not a problem. We were never told when the reservations were confirmed on 2/10 or by everyone in the restaurant when we arrived that we had only 1.5 hours reservations. I spoke to the manager (christ who was not very professional or kreatiw. when we told her that we were never told and had not eaten some of us yet, her answer was, well, what do they want me to do when we never told her that we had only the place until 6:30, she said how would that ring when we tell them that if she was wavy christine. I would think that would have been much less unpleasant than telling us that they only have another 20 minutes and then they have to go. of course she gave it to covid. we had a party in juni and we have no deadline. we went to heritage hills and they were very accommodating and thought it was terrible what happened to us at gas. logan. we all knew it wasn't your fault."

"Everything at this restaurant, from the decor to the service to the restrooms, was impeccable. There were plenty of parking spots out front, and the bar and servers were both outstanding. The prices for food and drinks were very reasonable. We had the chance to try several different apple wines and beers, as well as delicious appetizers and generous lunch portions. We would definitely come back to try more items from the menu. The only downside was the limited seating area, which was a bit cramped while we were there. If they were able to open up more space during busier times, it would be perfect for larger groups."

"We were delighted to discover this hidden gem of a restaurant for lunch the other day. After living in the area for over a year, we were tired of dining at local restaurants that served mediocre food that seemed to come from a can, a box, or the freezer. It felt like all the restaurants in the southern central PA region were purchasing their food in bulk from wholesale stores like Sam's Club, BJ's, or Costco. Tapenade Bistro was a refreshing change of pace. Our lunch tasted incredibly fresh, as if each ingredient had just been picked, and the dishes were expertly prepared by skilled chefs or cooks. The owner, who we believe was a woman, made a point to speak with each table of diners and was genuinely interested in their dining experience. Our server was also attentive and professional. Overall, dining at Tapenade Bistro in the middle of the day was one of the best culinary experiences we've had in the York area in the past 18 months. We applaud the owners and their staff for providing us with such a wonderfully crafted meal."

"The atmosphere is crummy BECAUSE the kids there (relatives of the owners, presumably) are ridiculously loud and watching tv/playibg video games loudly and cursing up a storm all in a neighboring room that clearly used to be a vault so the architectural layout functions like a megaphone. The food was ok as was the service, but it was so loud (and vulgar) it ruined the experience. I can imagine taking my family there again, much less trying to have any romantic experience there. I feel for the waitress as I can only this has to kill her shot at getting tips. The food wasn't tasty enough to warrant getting takeout there next time the experience was awful enough that iMll just presumable never go back there again. It's crazy to let loud and unruly kids ruin the experience so much for paying customers who hoped for decent night out. Major fail."

"My first time there was for their FB BBQ specials. The food was the delicious and the staff was nice but there was a couple misunderstandings. One, they thought I'm sharing my platter with my friend when both her and I clearly ordered our own. She did end up getting her own platter about 10-15 min later. Two, they seated me and gave me menus so I thought everything was done at the table like most restaurants. But it wasn't, you technically have to order your food at the counter FIRST then be seated. So I'm like... why not explain it to me as I was waiting on my friend? Other than that, which was all minor. I'd like to go back for the other menu items. Their speciality coffee was delicious and worth the price."
