The MFA is fantastic. It is so good that you might find yourself there for hours.

Probably the best restaurant in the museum district. Great food and great quality.

My husband and I ate brunch here before visiting the impressionism exhibit (Monet/Picasso) in December. I had a turkey, vegetable, avocado Pita, while he had an Asian shrimp and noodle salad. Great service, not fussy but good quality. Quiet.

Y'all. The food here is exceptional. Not just for a museum but for a Houstonian restaurant. Really it is very good quality food. They have great coffee. If you are Italian, you can safely order an espresso here (ask for 1 shot though). I come here to eat and have a glass of wine even when I'm not visiting the museum exhibitions. Exceptional restaurant. I would take visitors to Houston here.

We had a bit of difficulty finding the menu, but once we placed our order, we waited no more than fifteen minutes for our sandwiches, which were excellent and well worth the price. The café has a bustling and vibrant atmosphere, and the staff delivers food quickly. We enjoyed our lunch here and felt ready to comfortably drive to the museum to enjoy more of the exhibits. I frequently enjoy my visits to museum cafes, and this one was no different. Still a bit full from breakfast at Empire Cafe, I wasn't extremely hungry but needed a break from the vast new contemporary art wing. A margherita focaccia caught my attention and turned out to be the ideal choice. It came topped with a dollop of creamy cheese and vibrant roasted tomatoes. Soft and warm, it paired wonderfully with a San Pellegrino Limonata. It's definitely the kind of dish I'd love to eat regularly if I had the chance.

I've been to the MFA before, but never really ate at the cafe. So I decided, why not try it out! First impression: This Cafè is really nice and pretty. There's a lot of movement, and it's plenty packed (especially on Thursdays). The servers are really nice, and I dare say, they have a really good looking service team! What a surprise and relief it was to have such a wonderful meal and comfortable place to sit and take a break. We went early to the museum and spent an entire day there staying until almost closing. We really didn't want to leave the museum to get lunch but didn't want to have a low quality lunch while on vacation. We were surprised by the variety on the menu and reasonable costs considering the location not only in town but inside the museum. I had a daily special burger which was wonderful and also a latte that even came with some latte art classy.
