The bread did not meet expectations - it was not toasted, very thick, and tasted more like bread from a plastic bag at the supermarket than fresh baked sourdough. It was disappointing, especially considering the price. Ver carta

The staff at this restaurant is super friendly and efficient. Even though it was busy on Sunday, we didn't have to wait long for service. The breads they serve are fantastic, especially the sourdough we had with our breakfast.

Been in San Anselmo a few days and always noticed that this place is packed in the morning. I'm glad I was over, the meal was epic and the price point on. The Poleta wanted to try, but it was already sold. Super impressed and love see these kinds of mother and pop shops thrive.

This place is magnificent! Sincerely the best bread, croissants, and pastries I have so far in my life. The butter croissant is so flaky, light, and Layered with butter and the soft pliable perfectly baked center is magical. Low carb, ketogenic diets be damned. I was really disappointed with my experience here. It was a very good restaurant once, but after returning here I found it dirty and deorganized. My drink was given away to another customer and I had to wait almost 10 minutes for a new one. Many customers complained that their beverage orders were wrong. My fried egg sandwich was the most disappointing as shown on the photo below when I opened it, there was a piece of bacon, a scrap of egg, avocado and cheese on only one side of the sandwich. It was $16.

This restaurant is always inconsistent! You never know what you'll get when you order, even though it's listed on the menu. We really enjoy the ham and cheese sandwich on a half baguette. Unfortunately, half the time it's missing from our order, a quarter of the time it's correct, and a quarter of the time it's changed (like today, when it came on a different type of bread). This is just one example of the problems with the rest of the menu. If you go to the restaurant in person, it's great, but DoorDash just can't seem to get it right.

We absolutely loved the service and staff so high energy, friendly, and helpful. In our hour here, one of the employees seemed to recognize and very peppily greet at least 5 groups of regulars. My friend and I ordered the cappuccino, the Josie, passion fruit cake, eggplant sandwich, and adobo chicken sandwich. The eggplant sandwich was our favorite of everything we ordered. The coffees weren't very good, and unfortunately we did not like the cake as much as we would have wanted to. The cake itself was kind of texturally thick and dry, and the flavors weren't having us wanting more. Their breads were delicious and stunning.
