It was magnificent! Super-friendly staff, great colonial ambiance....and the food was outstanding. Do a few things and do them well and people will keep coming back. If you like southern fare with great service go to Michie's (pronounced Mickey)

went here on school thingy and loved the food absolutely bustin service was great other than this one lady who didn't bring me my peach cobbler they also sell guns in gift shopi got a t shirt that says michies and i will wear it in my grave ambience was also very good felt like i was in the hobbit cool.

This was our first time at Michie Tavern and we had a wonderful experience, the customer service was second to none and our lunch buffet was delicious.The property is beautifully decorated with very scenic gardens and outlooks. Best chicken I have ever had. I normally go to Knotts Berry Farm in California for chicken but never did I know that so good food can be found here. It's never in my life expected to eat some of the best food ever on a school trip. It was not only the food but the way the place looked made you feel like you were going threw the different areas of America.

It was a truly unique experience. I really enjoyed the Southern cuisine and the atmosphere. The ordering system is a bit restrictive, which helps reduce waste, but it can be challenging since you can't choose exactly how much you want. The prices are relatively high, but that's understandable, especially during COVID. I would definitely return in the future.

This is a very cool place. It has the old time feel like you step back in time as soon as you walk through the door. They have excellent fried chicken, and the sides could be a meal in themselves. The food is buffet style, but the waiters are willing to assist and get you seconds if needed. If you go, be hungry and patient cause the food is good, but the lines can get long. The atmosphere is THE best part of this place, it looks like you are dinning in 1776 from the building down to the cups and plates.The Service is uncomparable to anywhere else, everyone has such a positive attitude and attentive to anything you need.Now for the food, the food is not bad, but it is a buffet, so the quality is not perfect, but it is edible. An adult plate is about 25 bucks, you're really paying for atmosphere and service.I think this is a place you should experience once. This place feels like a tourist trap. It's a buffet where you create your own initial plate, and then they bring you more food. The pricing might be reasonable if the food were actually good, but unfortunately, it falls short. They charge extra for drinks and desserts, so it’s not a true all-inclusive buffet. We dined with some older family members who said they enjoyed the food, but the rest of us were not impressed.
