"On July 26,2023 I went into the coffee shop to get a blueberry scone. I had to wait to get service which was no problem. I thank the lady after I got my scone and started to leave . She came up to me and told me her husband use a walker and that I needed to put my walker higher so I would not be bent over when I walk. I told her that my walker was the correct height .I do not know this lady and what type of customer service is that . She needs to mind her business and she does not know what issues I have been having with my health . I left the business feeling hurt and in tears . I will never go back to this place ever. ."

"I heard so much about this place from friends, I had to try it. As soon as I walked in, I knew I was going have a great meal, the atmosphere is total Americana you sit at the counter and watch them prepare your food on a small griddle which I personally love, the staff were very friendly and they interacted with the customers on a personal level they make you feel like you came to your buddy’s outdoor BBQ and everyone was joking around and having fun). You can tell the staff are doing what they love. That being said, I had the steak and cheese with fries…..it was huge and delicious. Definitely coming back to try the other items on the menu."

"It is unfortunate to see the decline in quality and service at this longtime Bethesda establishment. The last few meals have been disappointing, and it appears they have reached their lowest point. It is a positive development that they are closing this week for remodeling, although it seems like a mistake as the ambiance was the only redeeming quality of the restaurant. Hopefully, the renovation will allow them to start fresh with improved kitchen operations, service, and management. If not, it may be worth taking a short trip on the metro into DC for better food and a superior dining experience at a similar price."

"We ordered beignets with chocolate sauce, bbq bones less wings and fries, j chicken wings and potato skins. We are from out of state and relied solely on reviews. The reviews in Door Dash were SOOO RIGHT!!! The beignets were deliciously crispy, flakey yet moist and rich. My daughters boneless wings were gone within minutes, my husband and I couldn’t even process how many levels of flavor were in the j wings. So hot, flavorful and addicting. The potato skins had sour cream IN them! Whaaat? How could this get better? I called to check on the order because my Door Dash app wasn’t updating. The man who answered the phone, manager I think?, gave me an update, I thanked him and hung up. He called me right back to make sure I received the link he sent me with live updates on the order. MUST go to Wingos if you’re reading this!!! We will order again or eat in when we come back to DC!"

"A wonderful dining experience! The menu offered some very unique options such as the Broccolini Caesar (highly recommended), and the Thursday $1 oyster special is a great value. All of our food was fresh and delicious, and our server Rosie was friendly and professional and took great care of us. We will definitely return to New Heights on our next visit to D.C."
