"We have been here a few times this season and the service seems to be lacking as the season went on. Bread is no longer served automatically; salt and pepper should be on the table so that we don’t have to chase the waitress for it; bill came before the table was cleared which is really unacceptable. We couldn’t finish our wine without staring at a dirty table with dirty plates even after everyone was finished with their meals. These things may sound small but irritating when you are paying premium prices for your dinner. The prices here have gotten more expensive than some 5 star beautiful restaurants on the cape. If they want to compete with 5 star restaurants they need work."

Well, The initial setting in the dining room area was quite noisy. Asked to move to a different spot , more in the main area past the bar . It was better but still a bit noisy Ver carta

Very nice dinner. Food was outstanding. Nice outdoor seating area, although service was a bit slow (outdoor servers struggled keeping up with inside and outside tables). Overall, nice night out.

Abby, our waitress, was excellent...knowledgeable efficient. She spoke with manager to reduce the A/C stream over us. She verified that our wine selection was exactly what had ordered, before opening it. Caesar salad was excellent; Salmon was perfectly prepared. Seafood Pappardelle was exceptional, tons of lobster pasta al dente was perfect. We will return on our next trip to The Cape

We sat outside on a lovely August evening, the patio was quiet and the flowers surrounding it were beautiful. Our server was kind and attentive even though he was spread pretty thin between tables inside and outside. The ginger lemon drop was a great way to start. We had the tuna tartare as an appetizer with a nice big portion of tuna and it was awesome. For our entrees we ordered the burger and the seafood papardelle, both of which were delicious. Would definitely recommend! Ver carta

It was a weeknight, so we were seated in the dining area to the right of the door, not the main section (which was closed). This room looked worn and tired. Our server was lovely and attentive. The bread and oil we were served was absolutely delicious, as was the wine. I ordered the salmon with sweet potato puree, roasted fingerling potatoes, and haricot verts. The fish was perfectly cooked, the beans were bland, the puree was a bit stodgy, and the fingerlings (which I love) were disappointedly undercooked. For the price of the meal, I was underwhelmed.

I traveled here from FL for a wedding with my husband and three year old. Our original reservation was 6pm but our flight was delayed almost 2 hrs. We called several times to postpone our reservation and were accommodated each time. We finally arrived at 7:40pm. We were met with smiling faces. Our waitress was amazing, especially with the three year old who, at this point was a mess. The food exceeded our expectations (we had the duck and halibut). The atmosphere was inviting and relaxing! We could not have asked for a better end to our long travel day. We hope to return soon. Thank you to the Mooncusser staff and chef, you made our night!

"Last night we went to this place and it was phenomenal! I loved everything about it. There wasn’t one thing I did not like. I love the ambience and the quaintness of being in a large Cape Cod home with a glass enclosed porch. I love the linen tablecloths, and the fresh red rose on the table. I love the service. And I went crazy over the Sears scallop dish that I had. I can honestly say I have not tasted scallops that was that good and that flavorful and that sweet and succulent since I was a young girl growing up in New Bedford mass where all the scallops come from. We had a scallop festival every summer. I ordered scallops in Florida where I now live, but they have no flavor whatsoever. And most of the time they divers scallops which are huge and I don’t like the texture and there is no flavor. It was served with couscous which. I chose not to use the sauces that came with it and had them put it on the side. Instead, I had them give me melted butter, which had like a basil garlic , that was excellent to dip my scallops in. My husband ordered the grilled lobster and he said it was fantastic. And it looked it as well. They had a saffron sauce, reduction, potatoes, and asparagus. His flourless chocolate torte which he orders a lot and he goes out to restaurants because he’s diabetic was outrageous. He said it was the best he ever had because it was moist and not dry. I had the strawberry shortcake. I asked them to leave off the mint simple syrup because I don’t like the taste of mint. The only thing I would say about that was it came with a biscuit instead of angel food cake. Personally, I prefer strawberry shortcake with angel food cake. However, the strawberries were fresh and the mascarpone cream, of course was delightful. It also came with a strawberry rhubarb purée on the side. I’m not fond of rhubarb so I wasn’t crazy over that but on the whole it was good! I highly recommend this restaurant."
