Moondance Grill - Carta

Had the loaded potato for starters great taste but no thickness for potato. Had the Burger and it was a good size but very dry with no flavor order medium and got well done. Waiter was GREAT name was Christine. Wife had lamb chops with spinach and it was very good. *Note their is a dress code* collared shirts for men.

Our server, who I believe was named Zach, forgot our drink order. The restaurant opened without any steak sauce and didn't bother to make a quick trip to the store to restock, despite knowing they were out. One of our friends even had to go to Walgreens to buy a bottle. Overall, the food was disappointing; the salad with fruit wasn't great, and the breakfast option was bland when it arrived at our table.

Our server, Lilly, was absolutely outstanding! She had a fantastic attitude and provided exceptional service for my husband and me during his birthday dinner. Lilly took her time with us, engaging in genuine conversations as they arose, and never made us feel rushed. We’ve dined at Moondance several times before, but we had never experienced service as wonderful as Lilly’s! Thank you, Lilly, for making our dinner so memorable. SLOW SERVICE, RAW FOOD but Great AMBIANCE. Disappointed doesn?t even begin to describe my experience here. I was super excited to finally enjoy the ambiance and great food so many of my friends bragged about?especially the lamb chops. Got my bubble busted? the lamb chops were absolutely HORRIBLE! I?ve never had practically raw, gamey tasting lamb lollipops ???? We waited so long for our food to only be disappointed! For the price of the menu I expected my food to have been TOP NOTCH! This fine dining experience for us was on the level of a basic chain restaurant. Drinks were tolerable.

Went to Moondance Grill on Monday 06/06/2022 to celebrate a friend birthday. When you walk in the place you will notice how shiny and clean the place is. I wish I remember the waiter name that serve us. He was very energetic and seem like he wants to do what best for the customers. My friend had the Moondance classic burger with cheese and fries. I had the Kale and Cranberry Salad and added blackened chicken to the salad. I glad I added the blackened chicken to the salad it really bought out the flavor to the salad with the cranberry, apple, and the dressing. The bread I have was definitely top 5 in best bread service.

We had a reservation for 6:30 and arrived on time. The host was friendly, but her attitude came across as condescending, which you can judge for yourself. Last year, we enjoyed the spinach dip, but this time it was lukewarm. We ate it anyway because we were hungry. My fiancé ordered the bourbon salmon, but it was undercooked. When we informed our waitress, she went to ask the manager and returned with the news that all she could offer us was a free dessert. I wasn’t interested in that, so our dinner was ruined at that point. The manager then approached us and offered to refund half of the meal. My family and I had an amazing time, it was about eleven of us. We were celebrating my husband and his twin?s birthday. Not only was the food and drinks amazing, the staff was so professional, helpful and very attentive to our needs. The staff ended the birthday celebration with complimentary champagne and fudge brownie with ice cream (can you say ?amazing? one more time with me). We had a night of laughter, great fellowship, and left with an awesome impression of the Moondance Grill. My husband and I live a couple of hours away, but Memphis is our hometown, we will definitely be back. This restaurant is definitely worth five stars and the money! Management was on point, checking on everyone...

There are two appalling aspects of this restaurant. The first is a dress code. I’m sorry, anyone working with in the economic bracket to spend $300 for a couple of people on dinner and drinks here, do not need to be told how to dress. It is shocking and embarrassing for them. I have never once at any fine dining facility across the nation, had anyone ever presume to tell customers how to dress.Worse, they assess an automatic 20% tip to a bill over $100. Can you even imagine what that looks like in terms of service? That’s not a tip. That means their prices are really 20% above the listed prices. I’m just not OK with that.Most of the time I tip better than 20%, but I absolutely will never pat...

Really enjoyed this meal, definitely left full and happy. Tip: Make reservations, we made ours originally for a Fri evening 1 week in advance, and times were very limited. Ended up changing it for reasons to a Thurs evening a few days prior. Got the Spring cocktails, the spring thyme spritzer was the best of the 2, the other being the run for the roses. We also got the chargrilled oysters, half dozen, but they weren't $23 worthy. Also got the pretzel roll prime Rib, again, not worth $21 (only prime Rib in Memphis worth anything, is the French dip at Houston's side note)....both of these were starters try another starter is my suggestion.
