"The customer service at The Queens Head is some of the best I 've witnessed! We arrived with a party of 6 and were immediately sat down at a large table in the middle of the room. We were just beginning a trip to celebrate my grandma 's belated 70th birthday and John, who turned out to be the owner, was so sweet to her and had her sit in a big leather throne at the end of the table. The waiter was incredibly attentive and patient with our rambunctious group! We had plenty of their fabulous wine, shared some appetizers (highly recommend the hummus), and enjoyed many of their menu offerings. They had a berry pizza with a balsamic vinaigrette and fresh raspberries and blueberries that was to die for! At the Queens Head they 'll celebrate your birthday day of but they were so sweet and made an exception for our grandma and gave her a crown for her birthday. John and Marcella gave our family a tour of all of their connected shops that were closed and made us all want to come back! Then we wrapped up with some incredible and fresh strawberry bread pudding. Definitely recommend!!"

"I ordered takeout from DCP last night, which included a thin crust pizza, mac and cheese, a chili chicken salad, and some smoked wings with mango habanero and creamy buffalo sauce. The pizza was a little cold by the time I got home, but I could have prevented that by using a warming bag in the car. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the smoked wings were amazing! They were perfectly smoked and very tender. I will definitely be back to try some of their sandwiches and wraps! (Just to note, the picture shows the leftovers from the next day, which I enjoyed for breakfast!)"

"First of all, I have to say that the portions were fantastic, and most of the food was really good—until I discovered plastic in my Philly cheese steak. They did apologize and offered to make me a new one, but they didn’t take any food off my bill, at least the price of the Philly. Instead, they acted as if I was exaggerating; I overheard the bartender say, "Well, that's one way to get a bunch of extra meat," while standing in the kitchen. It's almost as if they thought I was carrying clear plastic around just to get free food. I even showed the bartender the piece I pulled out of my mouth. I understand that mistakes happen, but this felt like negligence on someone’s part and was completely unprofessional in how they addressed the situation."

"The salads that came with our entrees were simple yet satisfying. In fact, my father mentioned that he usually doesn’t like croutons, but he really enjoyed the homemade ones sprinkled on his salad. It was all-you-can-eat Cod fish fry night, which my sister and her husband ordered. Justin made sure they had more than enough, regularly checking in to ensure they were getting their fill. They had no complaints; in fact, they ended up eating more Cod than usual because it was so delicious. My parents each had the one-pound deep-fried Shrimp, which looked fantastic, and my mom declared it was "the best" she’s ever had (although she said that last time too, haha!). My husband and I ordered the Michigan Lake Perch with potato wedges—absolutely delicious! If you enjoy thick, seasoned potato wedges that are lightly fried, you definitely have to try them! Then came dessert! We enjoyed Lemon Meringue Pie, Sizzling Apple Pie with crumble and caramel syrup and vanilla ice cream (very sweet but perfect for October!), Cheesecake with caramel syrup drizzle, and Cheesecake with cherries and caramel syrup drizzle. All of them were wonderful and made for a perfect ending to our tasty dinner. Sheri, who I believe is the manager/owner, stopped by our table a couple of times to chat, which was nice to see as she interacted with patrons throughout the restaurant. A big shout-out to the kitchen staff, as without them, there would be no food, and they often work behind the scenes. One of the great things about a restaurant like this is that you see familiar faces; diners walk over to other tables to say hello or sit and socialize, creating a lovely, relaxed atmosphere. There are fireplaces at both ends of the dining area, but I found it a bit cool sitting away from the warmth, so I’d recommend bringing a sweater or wearing layers. We were early diners, arriving shortly after they opened at 4 PM, and the restaurant filled up nicely within an hour without feeling overwhelming. If you're looking for a pleasant ambiance, high-quality staff, and tasty food, I highly recommend trying Great Lakes Grill. The menu offers a variety of choices, all at very affordable prices."

"A chef salad is, some shredded lettuce a few ham chunks, shredded cheese with a few tomato’s not even sliced, their ham and cheese is two single pieces of ham with Swiss cheese heated in a microwave on a hamburger bun, I got these two items and deep fried mushrooms and paid 30 dollars! Absolutely not worth the money for their quality of food. Highly unlikely I will be returning."
