"This was our 3rd or 4th visit to Cape Fear Seafood we dined with two other couples, one of whom had never dined here before. The service was wonderful, as usual. Everyone enjoyed their meal. One friend and I had the shrimp and grits and it was my third time having that dish. In all honesty, it wasn't the best I've had there. Very tasty but the sauce was a little too soupy. My friend mentioned the same thing. The other couple had shrimp and scallops and found that it wasn't up to its usual quality very good, but they've had better in previous visits. Two people had the sauteed spinach and couldn't eat it. Not only did they not taste the garlic and lemon but when I tasted it to test the flavor I couldn't even swallow it as it was tough and very bitter. They chose not to say anything to the server. The bread was about as bland as white Italian/French ? could get. Sorry about this review but although we really like this restaurant it wasn't up to its usual quality."

"I had a wonderful pizza experience at this restaurant! I loved the combination of feta cheese and gyro meat on my pizza. The staff was friendly, the prices were reasonable, and they had great specialty options. I will definitely be coming back tonight to celebrate #nationalpizzaday with my favorite special pizza!"

"Honestly, at this point it's my fault for coming here as often as I have. Panera Bread has one of the best tomato soups out there so when I feel bad I come here for that comfort food. At least 2x a year since this Panera came to Waterford, I've gotten the tomato soup and Every. Single. Time I've found plastic in it. Each time I find it in my mouth I pull it out, certain that this time it's probably just tomato skin, but nope. Plastic. The second time it happened I just happened to be eating in the restaurant so I showed the manager, let them know it happened before and all she did was ask if I wanted another bowl of soup. The 2nd time this happened should have been enough given the fact that the piece of plastic I pulled out of my mouth was about 8 inches long and about 3 inches wide when I unraveled it . But then time goes by, I forget, then one day I don't feel great and just want tomato soup. The other day it happened again and I'm fed up. Don't get their tomato soup guys, it's just not worth it. And before someone asks me, yes this is definitely plastic and not tomato skin. At least this time around the pieces are smaller so I didn't choke like the time before."

"I didn't get my Regular Drink, my bbq and baked beans were room temp and the beans were crusty from where they have sat. My hush puppies were soggy due to them being put in the cole slaw. There was only half the amount of bbq there normally is. This is the second time in a row my order has been messed up by them. I do not recommend unless you go in person so you can make sure your order is correct and hot."

"Long story short: AVOID THIS PLACE! After living in the area for a few years, we decided to try this restaurant because of its high ratings. Honestly, I'm baffled by how it received such good reviews. We ordered four combination dinners with fried rice, and the fried rice tasted like generic Goya Spanish yellow rice with some frozen vegetables thrown in. It lacked the flavor, appearance, and texture of actual Chinese takeout fried rice. The egg rolls were incredibly greasy— and I say this as a New Yorker who appreciates a good greasy egg roll— but these seemed like they had been sitting in oil for a day, making them completely mushy. Unfortunately, the main dishes were no better. The General Tso's Chicken tasted like it had been made the day before and reheated, resulting in a tough, chewy texture. The chicken and broccoli was the worst I've ever had, and while the sweet and sour chicken was basic, it still fell flat. I was hoping for a fun and easy meal for the family, but instead, I ended up paying for the dinner, still having to cook something else because no one could eat it, and feeling utterly frustrated and disappointed."
