This is a great place to stop along Route 66. It has been renovated since my last visit, and they did an excellent job with the updates. My son ordered the Philly cheesesteak sandwich and mentioned it was very delicious.

I travel all over the country for work Monday through Thursday. The fortunate part of my job is trying all of the great restaurants along the way. I stopped at the Old Route 66 Family restaurant on my way from Chicago to Springfield. The servicewas great, the fresh ham and bean soup was a treat. I ordered the ham steak (which was HUGE) that also came with two side, andto my surprise, a dessert as well. I chose the peach pie which was reminiscent of my grandmother?s homemade peach pie fromPennsylvania. I highly recommend this place. Ver carta
