"my wife and I were after a visit at the whiney museum before 2 weeks in the mood for Vietnamese eating. I am a fan of good banh xeo or Vietnamese crepp. (it was the first Vietnamese court I tried years ago, and I discovered that I was happy.) we came right after the opening on Friday night, without reservations and got a beautiful window table. recommend the blood orange martinis. the cold house saké was not as dry as expected. crispy spring rolls very well. like many Vietnamese dishes, there is a mix of salat to wrap their rolls before immersing them in the sauce. I'd like to have a little hot sauce on the table. a bottle of siracha can be found in many Asian restaurants. my wife had grilled garnel and grilled aubergines, both very good. the banh xeo is considered another starter and it is surprising light. the rice flour cake was crispy and filled with bean sprout, scrimpen, pork, with the usual fish sauce and salat. I think the crepe is cooked separately from the filling, which allows to make it quick. other restaurants make the crepes with the scrimp and pork or swan mixed with the teig. we didn’t know omi’s version. we have three commands for both of us. bannote xeo can be bland, but omai has a nice taste. a very pleasant room, with fantastic service. we were impressed."

Very good food with variations on the usual pho dishes you see at many Vietnamese places. Bit more upscale too. Nice sidewalk shed was incredibly noisy with raucous drinking group.

I was very disappointed with this restaurant. I was extremely hungry when I ordered, so I wasn't too picky. However, the food was overpriced and bland. I don't think they use any sauce or spices. I won't be coming back and wish I had read the reviews before going.

I orden food for the first time at this restaurant to be delivered. We were not able to eat the food. It was terrible. It looks like they put together all the leftovers from the day before. Very expensive and bad. We ordered 2 diferente entrees and 2 appetizers. Terrible!!!!! It was insulting to pay a lot for something so bad. Very very disappointing. Maybe the food tastes different if you eat at the restaurant. Ver carta

I randomly stumbled across Omai during one of my lunch breaks, and I'm so happy I did! The pho was DELICIOUS, the rolls were cooked to a golden and crispy perfection, and the herbs were super fresh. Oh, and the staff? Welcoming, super sweet, and very accommodating. My first impression of Omai was so great, I frequented the restaurant often (literally weekly, for almost a year), either alone, with friends, or with family. I consider this ONE OF THE BEST VIET RESTAURANTS IN NYC!

I love this place so much! Everything from the food, to the staff, to the atmosphere. This place has it all. There is also outdoor seating available.I've had a lot of Vietnamese food over the years, and this is definitely the best viet food in Chelsea. The the entrees (and spring rolls and coffee) are authentic and delicious. The seasonings remind me of Vietnam. The staff are very attentive and friendly, providing A+ service. The desserts are actually quite food (got the champagne mango sorbet).I would come back over and over. You won't be disappointed.

"We went to Bread N Wine on a early Saturday afternoon for brunch. We were greeted and seated by the servers who were attentive. The food was okay the bread was really soft and fresh. My partner got the French Lentil Soup, Spinach and Tomato Egg Bake andI got the French onion soup, egg omelette with spicy tomato avocado and onions. I wasn 't happy with my omelette because thespicy just meant it was covered in hot sauce within. For beverages, we got chai lattes (we later found out it wasn 't tea basedbut rather coffee) and we had the option of oat milk, almond milk or regular milk. In terms of our overall experience we feltby the end too many things were steering the experience south; the worst was when we were accused of using counterfeit money topay for the tip. There was no special marker used to prove that the money was counterfeit or technology to back up this claim. That experience alone left a bad taste in our mouth as we left embarrassed by that claim, kind of shook from that, we stilladded the tip to our credit card 18%. As we walked out and talked about how weird that was, the owner of the business nextdoor overheard us and asked to see the $20 bill he showed us that our money was real and validated what we knew, that themoney wasn 't counterfeit. When we went back into Bread N Wine to discuss this there was no apology, just well, it felt thatway , shrug. It left a terrible feeling. We would not go back after that, this is not how you treat customers from start tofinish, hence the 2 star review."
