Penn Square Grille - Carta

We miss the 'old ' restaurant. The lobby restaurant just isn 't the same.

Service was extremely slow and food was not great.. Used to have excellent service food.

Admittedly they are under construction and have a limited menu. Food was good. Cocktails a little pricey. Ver carta

Under renovation, so they temporarily relocated to the hotel lobby. It was loud and cold with a constant draft from the main doors. In regards to the food, no complaints. Everything we had was very good. Will go back after renovations are complete.

We should have been told that the restaurant has been moved to the hotel lobby BEFORE we made the reservation. (The website should have been updated) The menu was only SOME of what is listed online. (The website should have been updated) Overall we were disappointed

The service was good and the food was good. Unfortunately, the restaurant is being renovated so the lobby was used as the restaurant so there is no ambiance and the food selection was different from what is listed online. Definitely wait until the renovations are done before you go. Ver carta

The waitress was very nice. Scallops were slightly burnt, but the bacon lentil fondue underneath was delicious. Unfortunately the peach cobbler was inedible as it appeared to be almost raw batter. The waitress was nice enough to remove from the bill. I've enjoyed this restaurant very much in the past. Hopefully once construction is complete and they return to their permanent space these issues will be resolved.

Was under construction and was not told about it till we showed up. Was explained by the very rude hostess the had seating in the lobby of the hotel by a bar. It was so so loud from people at a convention and they sat us under a speaker playing music. My wife and I went here for Valentines date. We asked the waiter (he was nice) to move to quieter table and after being seated for a while was asked by the rude hostess to move. The food menu was very different from online. No beer on draft. My wife saw them walk our food out then take it back. When we got our food it was room temp. The food was good however. Wish they could give us our money back so we can go when they open after renovations.

Be clear that this review is during their renovation which was NOT clear on website. They moved the restaurant to the middle of the lobby of The Marriott. The noise level is horrible. Kids running underfoot of waitstaff the whole time. Worst of all, every time the front door automatically opened very often) , wafts of cigarette smoke poured into dining area. Change smoking area for now please! Food was tasty but very cold. Our waitress was good but the hostess was awful. We asked to be put at a table away from a large group of kids, as we had someone who didn’t hear well and she rudely said all our tables are reserved and walked away. This was at 5:15pm.
