"This is exactly what you need on a cloudy day. The broth was outstanding for a restaurant setting. I ordered the P4, which had rare steak and beef meatballs (with little chewy bits of tendons in the meatballs). This is authentic pho, not diluted, and comes with the right garnishes like Thai basil and bean sprouts. It's a light soup despite the beef, and the smaller portion was more than sufficient for me. Does the broth contain MSG? Probably, but it's important to note that a sprinkle of MSG in a large pot of broth is quite different from having it added to every dish at a Chinese restaurant. I'm sensitive to MSG, but I didn't experience any headaches here. The service was incredibly fast; my pho was ready within five minutes of my arrival. Are the staff exceptionally friendly? Not really, but they're not rude either. My people have been through a lot. The restaurant was very clean, and the pho was top-notch!"

I absolutely loved their fried tofu pho! It was delicious and the prices were reasonable.

The food at this restaurant is quite bland and lacks seasoning or flavor. The beef is overly fatty and overcooked. I would not recommend returning here.

Food was delicious and affordable. drinks came out quick, didn?t get a refill of water though but all in all good experience. Less than $30 for two bowls of pho and two drinks Ver carta

On the plus side, the customer service was great. I thought the Pho broth was decent, but the meatballs we're rather firm, and the rare beef was a bit tough. The price wasn't bad though.

I have not had enough experience with Vietnamese cuisine, but I thought the place was tasty upon my first visit. The customer service was very appealing. I appreciated their concerns as much as they respected mine.

The customer service was quite disappointing. Even though we were the only patrons in the restaurant, the server was rude and condescending. I had hoped for a pleasant dining experience, but I left feeling disrespected and unwelcome. I won’t be coming back. We did leave a decent tip, but if you’re having a bad day or something is bothering you, it’s best to take a break rather than treat customers poorly. As for the food, it was just average. Decided to try this semi-new pho restaurant and was pleasantly surprised! i ordered the chicken pho with a roll on the side and it was perfect. plenty of well-cooked tender chicken and the broth was delicious as well. the best pho ive had yet! service was solid as well, the owner is very nice and seemed highly knowledgeable about the food. location is great, not crowded at all and has a nice open area inside for seating. overall a great experience and a must go to place if you want sb county's best pho.

This noon time, I have a bowl of noodles in Phamous Cafe. I ate out a hair about 2 inches long. I picked up and put aside on the table and go on eating. Then I found ANOTHER hair that is as long as a FOOT. I am so upset about the hairs noodles since I have been this pho restaurant almost once a week and always have a bowl of it. I don't know what I had eaten before and what were hidden in the noodles that I ignored. I pointed out the hairs issues to the manager but they are very impolite and doesn't show any sorry to me. I will never be Phamous Cafe ANYMORE!

"It is extremely rare that I write a review without actually visiting in person. My sister somehow got my hooked on this small, local sandwich chain. I had seen its various locations (Isla Vista, Santa Barbara 's Mesa and Goleta) and always wanted to check it out; yet leave it to my sister from out of town to introduce me to it. Twice she has ordered take-out sandwiches at lunch time for us. Their sandwich menu is nutso with 36 creations to choose from, including several that are vegetarian. Of course, the options are endless if you choose to build you own! I went with the #14 (a turkey BLT) and #2 (turkey and cheese) which are simply basic yet tasty. I have no idea what they do to their bread but is addicting. Slight crunch on the outside, yet soft to the squeeze and full of gummy flour flavor! All of the ingredients appear fresh and nothing special--which I appreciate when I want a deli sandwich. I love the fact that you can purchase your sandwich in a variety of sizes including a mini for if you need a snack to hold you over and not a full meal. I also think of children, those who are on a lower carb diet, who have had bariatric surgery, or are limiting portion sizes. I personally go for a small sandwich. However, if you want to go all out, choose the medium or family size. Even better, if you 're hosting a party, order a three to ten foot long sandwich (requires a day 's notice). I will be back to check out the actual place--third time 's a charm they say. I 've heard both their chicken salad and tuna salad are both delicious. That 's next up! P/S: According to Yelpers, they do not accept the Check-In Offer for a free soda with a sandwich purchase. They should really remove this from their Yelp page... Note: Only the Milpas location offers chicken sandwiches, burgers, french fries and chicken nuggets. Note squared: They charge more for credit card payments. Note cubed: If you want free entertainment, check out their Milpas website menus with adorable, phonetically spelled items. (gient vs giant, meetball vs meatball, and phylly vs philly)."
