"On our little day jaunts to PJ, we normally eat at the Steamroom because it 's dog friendly (and we sometimes have him with us), and even when we are pupless, we 're just so used to eating there. On our last day trip, we ate there, as ever no dog, no complaints. However, I left my jacket at the ferry terminal and had to come back over the following day to retrieve it...so I made a solo trip, and as long as I had to go back, decided to make a half day of it. I didn 't want to hit the Steamroom a second day in a row, so I tried Prohibition, which was crowded also, because the homemade chocolate pudding on the posted Summer Menu drew me in like a fish on a line. The ambience and menu are the current Edison bulb/chalkboard/casual industrial, New American/Food Network. Pretty small space inside, narrow, half of it being a bar most people were out on the sidewalk that day. I had mussels for an appetizer huge bowl, nicely seasoned, dug into the big slices of Texas Toast with the mussel liquid, which seemed to be an Italianate sort of sauce. I then had the brisket street tacos, which were also tasty. Alas, they had sold out of ALL the desserts except a maple cake (I was not in a cakey mood, unfortunately). I have made a vow to get back there and hopefully even with a Winter Menu they will have that pudding. The upshot is that I was kind of glad I left the jacket and had to go back, because I would not have discovered this place otherwise."

Nice to once again be able to get good eats at Port Jeff’s East Beach. Lisa served up some tacos ? and a salad ? that were quite tasty. And of course you’re at the beach! Ver carta

Overpriced by three out of three people. If you are interested in a cheese covered appetizer followed by a cheeseburger our price range and $72 plus tip. And this is for you. Liquor prices are not listed: if you want two beers plus tax and tip that’s $43. Rating, two

Exceptional experience! The food is both innovative and delectable, skillfully prepared. The drinks are even more impressive. We visited for a mid-week happy hour, and the place was not crowded. The background music was excellent, and the staff were outstanding—friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable. We will definitely return!

I can only say positive things about this place! The food and drinks were fantastic. Everyone in our group was extremely happy with our choices, which included the chicken and waffles, steak and cheese sandwich, fat chicken sandwich, and captain burger. My wife and I arived in the middle of the afternoon to a full restaraunt. We were seated fast and the Hostes was polite and friendly. The seating area was clean. For a nearly packed resteraunt the noise level was not too loud at all. Our food came out quickly and was very good, My wife had the tomato soup and I started with the fried cheese curds both were excelent. For our main dish my better half had a outstanding cheese burger and I had a breakfast item Corn beef Hash and eggs everything was perfect, We left full and had no complaints.
