I felt quite upscale during my visit. The food was both distinctive and of excellent quality. I tried the pancakes, which were among the best I've ever had. The cocktails were fantastic as well. I was there a week ago, we found the restaurant while driving around the town. The food we ordered were very tasty, well presented to get your appetite going. There was not a loud music, you can have a nice dinner with a soft music, the service was very professional and pleasant. I can't recommend this place highly enough. While I typically don't believe in giving 5-star ratings since I think no one is perfect, Proximo truly deserves it. We visited for brunch, so I can only speak to that experience. I had a steak bowl that was absolutely fantastic. My companion enjoyed a salmon dish and tried six different mimosas. If you're ordering just one, definitely go for the Almond! The atmosphere and service were both excellent. I'm willing to bet I'll never give a 5-star rating again, but based on this brunch, I can only imagine they excel at dinner too.

This month, I was working overnight. This simply translated to “Breakfast to me function as dinner”. Proximity was introduced to me 2 days ago, and I liked it from the time I stepped in. Light Jazz music on the background, with great lighting and classic design welcoming guests. I ordered a mimosa with bartender choice; a sour berry infused taste was refreshing my mind when I got my Salmon Benedict. I wish I was getting a picture of Chef’s art before finishing it all, but moments pass without waiting for out regret. I am thankful to colleagues who introduced this gem to me. Will come back soon. In town for the Masters Fitness Championship and have never been to Fort Wayne before. Luckily, we found Proximo. Dinner on Friday followed by breakfast on Sunday! Both were excellent! Our server Ned on Friday was truly amazing. Super friendly and engaging. After dinner, we were wondering about where to go and Ned suggested an Irish pub nearby. Excellent suggestion! Thanks Ned! Both times, our meals were excellent. It was surprising to us that such a nice restaurant also did breakfast but we were so happy they do. Apparently, it's the place to go for brunch as well! Good location and very nice ambience. Perfect noise level to allow you to have a conversation without having to raise your voice. The service was excellent with very courteous staff who are knowledgeable of the menu. Portions are large. We split an appetizer and dinner entree between the two of us and had some left to take home. The food was appealing to look at and pretty tasty, my only complaint on the appetizer, crab chilequiles was the chips were mostly soggy and with the Ropa Vieja the steak was overcooked (in restaurants defense I did not say how I wanted it cooked and nor did they ask). What a fantastic find! My wife and I were passing through town, and since we both have several food allergies, it can be quite challenging to find a restaurant where we can safely eat. However, Proximo not only accommodated our dietary restrictions but did so exceptionally well! Usually, servers are familiar with their menu but may not know the specific ingredients that could trigger allergies. That was not the case here!
