"I'm almost giddy thinking back on the epic meal we just had at this place and are already planning a trip back. There aren't many places we add to our repeat list but this one made it. It's rare that I've been more impressed with a meal. It all starts and ends with the geniuses at the bar who mix some of the most epic concoctions. From there, the menu isn't overflowing with options, mind you, but there's a reason: every dish we had was perfection and unique to the in season ingredients. The magic and care the chefs put towards their dishes is evident in every bite. We were blown away by the crusty bread and local cheese charcuterie and followed that up with a new fave of mine: the pork shoulder first course. The scallop and double cut pork chop main courses were both memorable, as was their outstanding and interesting wine list that added lots of depth to the already amazing food dishes. What a gem in Chapel Hill."

"We had heard excellent things about Tandem…and we were not disappointed! It was family weekend at Carolina. We took our freshman daughter and our younger son to brunch there on Sunday. My Smiked Salmon Benedict was to die for! My husband ordered the BLT with egg sandwich and fries. My daughter ordered the shrimp and grits. And my son had buttered grits. He’s the picky one… Ha ha Ha! All of our food came out hot and delicious. Our server was very attentive and accommodated our extra requests quickly. We even arrived about minutes earlier than our reservation time. The hostess was very accommodating and found a table for us within minutes. It was a very busy day for them, but you never would’ve known it. Service and Food were excellent!"

"I tried the tasting menu with a wine pairing at this restaurant. The food was decent, but nothing extraordinary. The wine was also just okay. The service was attentive, perhaps a bit too much so, as it sometimes disrupted our conversations. The restaurant had a nice ambiance, but it was quite loud, making it difficult to hear the server explain the dishes and wines. Despite this, it was a pleasant evening overall, although the food didn't amaze me. I plan to give it another chance and try the regular menu next time."

"La comida era muy sabrosa. Recomiendo la ternera Parmigiano. Nuestro servidor era agradable y servicial con el menú. Como era NYE, estaba nervioso por los asientos disponibles, pero mi esposa y yo estábamos en una cabina que era lo suficientemente cómoda para otros dos invitados. "Forgot to take photos of our appetizer and entrées but EVERYTHING we had was delicious. We started with the Mezze Platter which included some of the best Patl?can Ezmesi (Smokey eggplant dip I?ve ever had. I?m gluten free, but my husband and daughterraved about the fresh, hot, crusty bread served with our meal. I had the lamb shank special of the evening which fell off thebone and was superb. My husband enjoyed his Adana Kebabi and daughter had the Balik Böregi, also delicious. For dessert we hadTurkish coffee and shared the Kazan Dibi and Crème Chocolate. And on top of all the great food, the Turkish decor and ambianceadded to the evening. One comment on the service, this was a very busy restaurant, the staff (family? were stretched thin.Definitely a place to enjoy a relaxing, leisurely dinner with good company."
