"This was an OK experience. Not great, but not awful. The food was fine nothing spectacular, but it was fine. The wait person was either having a bad day and really did not feel like engaging with her customers, or she's just not a service industry type person. It would have been a better experience if she at the very least didn't look like she despised the fact that she had to service our table. Maybe I would return here again, not awful but it might be an after thought instead of something that jumps to mind. On a good note the ladies room is ENORMOUS with 4 5 stalls. That in itself is a big going for the place..."

Food was pretty good. Bar food. More a bar than a restaurant feel.

The food was okay but not much of a selection. Even tough I was in the next room over, the music was too loud for my taste.

Ordering is done via an app at the table, and you tip right away. I prefer the old-fashioned way of seeing a server and tipping after the service. I found the process for ordering drinks a bit strange; I wasn't sure if I needed to create a new order in the app for a second drink, so I ended up leaving without it.

I made a reservation through OpenTable, but when we arrived at the restaurant, it was closed for a private party! Since it was the first week of December, the streets of NYC were bustling with crowds. However, the manager called a nearby sister restaurant, secured us a table immediately, and even covered the cost of our first round of drinks. Everything was handled beautifully, and we had a wonderful dinner! Ver carta

If you're in search of a great beer bar, this place is perfect. They have an impressive selection of beer styles. I visited with my wife and our two young sons, and they enjoyed it as well. The atmosphere is cool, with a pleasantly dim ambiance. I had a delicious burger, and they also provide meals for kids. We liked it so much that we dined there twice during our four-day trip to NYC. I would definitely return!

We had a table for 4 and the place was basically empty at 6 pm on a Saturday, which is not a good sign. The beer list was excellent but the food was quite mediocre. The cheesecake was like something out of the local warehouse club, and everything else bang ordinary. The service was really poor. They later told us that they didn’t have a server so their bartenders were covering, which explains the bad service but doesn’t excuse the mandatory 20% service charge added to our bill — pre-tax, mind you, so we paid tax on that charge as well. A mandatory service charge for a party of 4? Puhlease. We won’t be going back.

"We went to Bread N Wine on a early Saturday afternoon for brunch. We were greeted and seated by the servers who were attentive. The food was okay the bread was really soft and fresh. My partner got the French Lentil Soup, Spinach and Tomato Egg Bake andI got the French onion soup, egg omelette with spicy tomato avocado and onions. I wasn 't happy with my omelette because thespicy just meant it was covered in hot sauce within. For beverages, we got chai lattes (we later found out it wasn 't tea basedbut rather coffee) and we had the option of oat milk, almond milk or regular milk. In terms of our overall experience we feltby the end too many things were steering the experience south; the worst was when we were accused of using counterfeit money topay for the tip. There was no special marker used to prove that the money was counterfeit or technology to back up this claim. That experience alone left a bad taste in our mouth as we left embarrassed by that claim, kind of shook from that, we stilladded the tip to our credit card 18%. As we walked out and talked about how weird that was, the owner of the business nextdoor overheard us and asked to see the $20 bill he showed us that our money was real and validated what we knew, that themoney wasn 't counterfeit. When we went back into Bread N Wine to discuss this there was no apology, just well, it felt thatway , shrug. It left a terrible feeling. We would not go back after that, this is not how you treat customers from start tofinish, hence the 2 star review."
