"My first impression of the restaurant was quite positive, especially for vegans. I visited for lunch on a weekday and was able to get a table right away. We ordered two bowls with purple rice and one dish of noodles, all of which were delicious. The steamed dumplings were also quite tasty. Don't miss out on their carrot-apple or carrot-orange juices—they're very filling! The food was served quickly, and the portion sizes were generous. We all ended up asking for take-out boxes. The restaurant is clean and kid-friendly, and parking is not a problem at all."

I visited Roots for my older brother's birthday and was very impressed. It seems to rival the nearby P.F. Chang's at MarketFair. Our waiter was fantastic and managed to get all 17 of our orders correct. He was also quite funny. I had the General Roots chicken bowl with white rice and it was absolutely delicious. I will definitely be returning in the future.

This restaurant is amazing! My large family frequently orders from here, and we have NEVER been let down. We can confidently recommend just about anything on the menu, but we especially love the General Tso's tofu, Thai curry with fresh ramen noodles, scallion pancakes, and drunken noodles. Their dishes are loaded with fresh vegetables, and the tofu is always perfectly cooked. Every penny spent here is worth it! Ver carta

Always love my eating experience here and was excited to bring my friend to this place for the 1st time. The food was phenomenal and delicious. Im still trying to get over the pork belly bun! Goodness! We had drunken noodle with tofu and vegetables and a Korean dish with beef and rice. Its my 3rd time here but I will always come back. The teas are soothing, spring rolls are on point, and the pad thai is awesome too! Love Roots!!!

The service was great, the food presentation was also good. The appetizers were tasteful and tasty unfortunately the 'roots' was terrible. Somehow it was complete without taste. The pig was hard and tasteless, the only thing near a taste was a slight touch of corn, which to my knowledge there was no corn in the dish at all. It was like cooking corn on the bay and the water smells like corn. All in all, if I eat from here again, it would be just for appetizers.

"When you walk in the vibe is relaxed, warm, and inviting, as if you were having dinner in a friend 's kitchen. There aren 't an overwhelming amount of choices but there is something for everyone. While you wait for your meal, enjoy the delicious flatbread. I am on a diet but everyone else loved it. What is delivered to your table is absolutely delicious. My daughter, who has eaten there before, raved about their house dressing. How excited can one get over salad dressing? It was so good. She ordered the Parpadelle Meat Sauce. She loved it. It was a lot so she took half of it home. Her boyfriend had the Apricot Walnut Salad. It looked delicious and he really enjoyed it. As I mentioned, I am on a diet so I was happy to see the variety of salads. I ordered the Pasta Fazool, yum, and the Beet Goat Cheese Salad; I added Shrimp. It was delicious, especially the shrimp, well seasoned, and they weren 't cheap on the beets or goat cheese which made me happy. It was topped with that salad dressing and, my daughter was right, it was delicious. My husband, whom we affectionately refer to as Bob the Food Snob , had the Frutta del Mar. He always sends his food back but loved this dish. The pasta is fresh, the sauce perfectly seasoned. We ended the evening with zeppole shared for the table. It comes with Nutella. My daughter 's boyfriend joked that zeppole filled with cannoli cream would be outrageously delicious. I ordered that and the Nutella. I expected the cannoli cream to be typical. It was really light. Yes, I had a taste because they were all talking about it and dessert is my thing. Brad was right, zeppole and cannoli cream is delicious. Put that on the menu! We are going back!"

"Update: 4/10/2022 Came here recently with my wife on our way back from Philly. Hadn’t been here since the pandemic and was pleasantly surprised to see that this place was still here. Ordered the same thing I always do and quality is still good. I’m so glad this little gem of a place is still in business. Prices have gone up a little but so has everything and most restaurants since the pandemic. A hidden gem. Ok, so it’s not one of those fancy Tokyo or New York quality sushi but then again, you’re not paying $500 for dinner (per person) either. I always eat the same thing here — the battered squid dinner plate or lunch, if you’re having it at lunch, with a squid roll and it comes with salad, too. My wife orders the Sushi Boy A or B. It’s a combo plate of such I. And there are lots of other great choices. So far, everyone I’ve taken there, really like the sushi. By the way, my wife is Japanese and she loves sushi (she knows what’s authentic and what’s not). I’ve been to so many of those all-you-can-eat sushi buffet joints where you pay anywhere from $12-20 per person but always end up disappointed. No one would expect to find this place...It’s in a hidden food court surrounded by stores like Gymboree and offices, etc near the Westin hotel in the Princeton Forrestal Village square. While it may be off the beaten path, this place will not disappoint. I’ve been going there for at least 7 years."
