"Rather disappointed given how highly rated this place was, and sadly given the quality of the food did not make the list of places I'd go back to when recreating on the South Shore. Liked that they had smoothies and those and the tropical alcoholic drinks were good. Food was...OK. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't delicious. My husband put aside some of the chicken in the pad thai because it was a bit rubbery. Savory pancake and dippable side salad was an interesting idea, but the pancake was hard to dip, probably had too many spouts, and the sauce was unremarkable. Rice in sizzling pot was sort of what I'd expect from a cheap food truck, but with nicer presentation. Menu could definitely use more pictures or details. There was a strong smell when we arrived, which at first I thought was some sort of bathroom cleaner, but I think may have actually been incense for the Vietnamese New Year? The place was mostly empty (though we were there a lot earlier than normal for dinner) and the staff seemed to personally know the other customers, presumably regular locals. Service was very friendly and attentive and the interior is spacious and a nice mix of modern (like the dark benches) and traditional elements (like the fireplace)."

"I have to admit my biggest disappointment is not being able to sit at the counter in front of the chef station. We just so enjoyed that experience! That said the food and service are as outstanding as ever. The menu has changed, and I miss some of my old favorites. However we discovered some really great new dishes that we're nothing short of amazing. Sometimes surprise is good! And Chef Divino Costa has become such an inspiration in that establishment, and guess above and beyond to make guests feel truly special. A+ all around. And thanks for making our anniversary, and now my birthday , so special!"

"The hostess seemed visibly annoyed by our presence and did not offer a welcoming or friendly demeanor. She appeared to be inconvenienced by the arrival of guests and did not provide any helpful assistance. Despite the lackluster service, the food at Schooners remains delicious. Unfortunately, my favorite dish, the steak tips, was unavailable, so we opted for calamari, a burger, and a shrimp scampi pizza, all of which were enjoyable. However, the coffee was subpar and the lack of bottled water was disappointing. Feeling uncomfortable with the atmosphere and service, I decided to take my food to go and dine elsewhere. The staff's indifference towards my family, especially my 14-month-old child, left a sour taste in my mouth. I was disappointed by the lack of assistance from the hostess when leaving the restaurant, which solidified my decision to possibly not return in the future. The loyal customers of Schooners deserve better service, and I hope that improvements can be made to enhance the overall dining experience."

"DELICIOUS!! There are signs warning you about potential waits for both tables and food, but it's absolutely WORTH IT!! Our waitress was incredibly kind, and the atmosphere was delightful. Now, let's talk about the food—the lattes we ordered (both iced and hot) were AMAZING!! They had fresh espresso and expertly crafted flavors. The food itself was extraordinary: fresh, hot, and creatively prepared! It’s not your typical breakfast. The skillet dish was particularly delicious. I will definitely return to try more items from the menu. For vegetarians, there are options like spinach and tomatoes, fruit, and pancakes, but no Impossible meat is available."

"My friend Beverly and I look forward to our regular Wednesday afternoons at the Snug. Wonderful staff--among lovely people, our friend and Hostess with the Mostess, Lori. World class food and drink. Best Guinness in all of New England! Such a friendly atmosphere. I'm 81 years old, can no longer drive, and were it not for my Beverly Curro, I'd not be able to leave my condo. Our Wednesdays at the Snug is the shining moment in my week. Thank you all for making me so happy!"
