Rumba Island Grill - Carta

Today, I stopped by for a quick lunch, and it was my first visit. The food was excellent, and the service staff were very attentive. The manager even came by to check on us; she was personable and informative since it was our first time there. We will definitely be returning!

Family Night. My family and I went out to rumba last night for dinner.. I have to say it was the first time we have been out in Florida we just moved here and it was an awesome experience.. My Husband and i had the Crispy Hogfish and my kids had the ribs. Everything was delicious..The server was spectacular, very attentive. Defiantly will be telling all of our friends about this awesome place..

Went there for lunch. We ordered from the early menu and when we finally got our food it was awesome. Before that it took about 15-20 minutes for a waitress to find us to take drink order and then refills were difficult to obtain. We asked for muffin refill (that we would pay for) and never did get that. The waitress was very prompt getting the bill to us. I would go to another location or get another waitress. Ver carta

A Great Lunch!. What a beautiful day to enjoy lunch sitting outside at Rumba's in Oldamar!Wow, I thought I was in the Islands! I sat outside and it was a very nice atmosphere. As to the food,..the grouper was very fresh and it came with home made cole slaw which they make with their unique twist. The price was very reasonable. Server was nice and attentive; the manager also came by twice to ask me how my meal was. A must if you are in Oldsmar!

Date night. My husband and I recently enjoyed our date night at Rumba. My husband had the Crispy Hogfish and I had Jerk Salmon. Both of our dinners were delicious and included 2 side items and a salad I hate restaurants that charge extra for everything! We finished off with rum cake with vanilla ice cream. Yummy!! Our server was friendly, attentive and helped to make our evening an enjoyable one. We will definitely return to try out other items on the menu that we thought were interesting.

I went to rumba for dinner the other night with my husband and kids. First of all I have to say the atmosphere is amazing... I had probably the best server ever her name was Lisa... She was so nice and told us all the specials and stayed very well on top of everything..the food was absolutely amazing. And the part that I really liked was the manager Sal came over to us and checked to make sure everything was ok. I've visited this restaurant multiple times and have consistently enjoyed the food. However, there are two aspects that I find less than ideal, though they can be easily managed. First, the indoor seating is limited, so if you opt to sit outside, you might get caught in Florida's unpredictable weather. Second, the place gets very crowded at dinner, which is a testament to the delicious food but can lead to long wait times for customers. Fortunately, you can easily avoid these issues by coming for lunch or dining early in the evening. The staff is always wonderful, and the food remains top-notch.

Absolutely wonderful experience at LaFitte. My fish was delicious—so much so that I easily could have had a second serving. The dish my wife ordered was thick, flaky, and full of flavor. The ambiance strikes a perfect balance of stylish and comfortable. Our server, Lauren, was incredibly helpful, attentive, and friendly. We were curious why so many diners preferred sitting outside until we took a seat indoors; it was chilly inside since the A/C was set to the mid-60s. Additionally, Rumba’s lacks a lunch menu—only offering an appetizer selection. So, if you're looking for a midday meal, make sure to find something appealing on the early bird menu or other reasonably priced options.

Go for the fish, the Fried Food not so much. The good: The fish, especially the catch of the day, together with the Mahi, is fresh and when you order it grilled, comes juicy and buttery. The bar staff is friendly, timely and even gave a free order from Calamari, just to try it, as our first time to eat there. The bathroom: The fried dishes seemed pre-packed, especially the fried green tomatoes and the Calamari had not aromatized your standard over bread that we see in so many places. The fried coconut shackle was overcrowded and only a touch sweet. The Ugly: The outside bar is festive, but the rest of the restaurant is full, noisy and not very island feeling.
