Rustic Inn Crabhouse

Besides the Golden Crabs, the food here was just ok. The Golden Garlic Crabs, however, are to die for . They are the best crabs I’ve eaten, by far!

Go for lunch and the crabs and prepare to settle in with your mallot. If you don 't know how to pick 'em, get someone to teach you the basics before you go. You 'll thank me later.

The food is the best. I love batting down the crabs on the newspapered tables. It's just fun and delicious fun. A bit pricey but the quality is well worth it. One of my favorites is the garlic crabs. We just happened on this place and how lucky for us. A real down to earth place with a wonderful atmosphere. We both dined, she had wine and desert. The cost was good $85 for one meal we shared) but when you weighed out the food we had it was ok. We will definitely go here each time we are in town. Don't miss it!!!!!!!

There are several things that make this a special place besides the food. The atmosphere is warm and friendly. You can't help but get into the banging of the mallets and celebrations. It's good to have hand cleaning facilities close to the tables because even the neatest eaters need them. It's a little pricey, but well worth it.

I visit South Florida a few times a year for work, and we always make it a priority to have lunch at the Rustic Inn. The laid-back atmosphere creates a fun and relaxed vibe, and the friendly staff enhances the experience even more. Atmosphere is very nice. There are 4 areas to choose from; the barge, dock, indoor dock and the main restaurant. Service was very fast and very attentive. Servers know how to make their customer feel at home. Very nice for celebration such birthday party, etc. It's been there a long time and it's still the favorites for generations. We arrived late our first night and were seated immediately. The crab sampler is fantastic for anyone who loves crab and wants to sample different varieties. It was amusing to crack them open with the wooden mallets. We decided to return a second time earlier in the evening. I had no idea there were so many people in Florida; it seemed like everyone was there for crab! We did have to wait about 40 minutes, but our waiter was quick to take our order, and I don't think it was even 10 minutes before we were enjoying more crab and lobster. I would gladly wait an hour for a meal here.

This place is a very unique local restaurant that people flock to constantly despite its more expensive prices. I went here with a group of coworkers, and we really loosened up and had a great time. The crabs are top notch, and the queen and king crab legs are out of sight. There's only one other crab place I'd put above it in this area (Joe's , but it's slightly less expensive here. (Large-sized crab platters are in the $30-$40 range. They give you a lot of food, and the appetizers we had were very good as well.
