The miso soup was too salty. The rest was good. The waiter was very nice, but the service a bit slow in the beginning.

I love this sushi restaurant. The food is consistently delicious and the atmosphere is never too loud, allowing for enjoyable conversation with your companions.

Very poor, waiter was the best thing at the restaurant. No one could figure out how to give us credit for our visit. On another occasion they charged our credit card for two tables, hot food not hot yet greasy and rest was bland. Ver carta

Really sad to post this review. Seriously never a problem before but something wrong in the kitchen and wait staff. No orders taken. Staff walking by with NO eye contact. In 20 plus years have not walked out but we did. Please fix the problem and talk to your patrons.

Me and my boyfriend are regulars at Sakana one of our favorite restaurants but this time around We were disappointed. Never had an issue with making a reservation or the food, but when we arrived they didn’t have our reservation they so they were hesitant to seat us. First I want to mention our server was a sweetheart. She was clearly working hard to assist all tables and the place was understaffed. It was hard to watch because the bar was empty and the bartender and other employee seemed to be super laid back while the waitress was clearly overwhelmed. Appetizers were awesome, sushi really stood out in a good way. As for the main entree I wasn't too impressed. Overpriced for what it is and the noodles in both dishes were overly sauced and soupy. We only tried the sushi and udon dishes, so we cannot comment on the rest of the menu. However, we found that the restaurant offers a unique mix of options that go beyond the usual selection found at Japanese/sushi restaurants, making it a good choice for those in your group who may not be sushi enthusiasts. While our group of sushi lovers enjoyed the presentation and selection of dishes, we felt that the flavors were good but not exceptional compared to other places we have tried. Overall, we had a satisfying meal, but it did not quite reach the level of a special occasion dining experience.

I had made reservations at 6:30pm on a Saturday and once my boyfriend and I got there, they were super busy and we had to wait an additional 5-10 minutes for a table. I was fine with it but the waiting area was pretty small and tight, not a ton of room for all the people waiting for tables. Once we were seated, the waiter was great. He came and checked on us a few times before we decided on what to order. The food was good for the prices but beware, the ambiance of this place is LOUD. It was very lively and you could tell people were having a good time. There were parties of all ages and a few crying babies, but overall this is somewhere I would most definitely dine again!

Though the food was good. The restaurant was not ready for the evening. This small restaurant had 10 reservations for 7pm alone, with 10 others coming in every 15 minutes. They also did not have enough wait staff. We got there at 7 and did not get seated until 7:40. It was another 20 minutes before we were served drinks and about an hour later we got our food. This was not because our server was slow... the food was slow and they didn’t have enough folks working. Everything was so slow that we did not leave the restaurant until after 10. This was not because we were having such a fantastic time... it’s because we had to WAIT and WAIT and WAIT for everything. This is not the first time I had... Ver carta
