This is a very friendly neighborhood sushi bar with excellent offerings. Sitting at the counter allows you to interact with Sammy as he prepares the various dishes.

I believe Sammy is the best sushi chef out there! He's a true gem if you're looking for the freshest sushi and sashimi. Additionally, he uses Mountain Top carrots, which are fantastic!

Will not be going back to this one! This sushi dive smelled bad when we arrived, service wasn't great, food was below standard with questionable freshness of the fish and really small portions. But seeing the sushi chef licking his fingers twice as he was handling food was about as bad as it could get. Unfortunately we didn't see this until after we had pretty much eaten everything... ugh!

This is the best sushi place in Livermore! My boyfriend has been a fan of Sammy's for over 20 years, and Sammy always gives us the VIP treatment. The sushi is top-notch and consistently excellent. If you ask him to create a special roll, he’s more than happy to oblige. Thank you, Sammy, for the wonderful memories and fantastic meals!
