I have the Stuffed trout, it had no taste needed seasoning and flavor. Service excellent atmosphere excellent. Our dining experience was outside, so that was great. So disappointed with out first visit. Long wait for our food- and nothing ordered special- straight from the menu. Upon arrival, my eggs Benedict were actually eggs poached so long, they were more like hard boiled. This menu had many Benedict offerings, so very disappointed with the food and slow service. Sam’s on Main has always been a favorite spot of mine, ever since their original small location in the old post office. Sam has always been welcoming to his guests, bringing out roses on Valentine’s Day and walking around greeting each table on every other visit. Have I mentioned how great the food is too? Waited 1.5 hours for our food while on our lunch break. The waiter said the wait was because of having to get some silverware. Waiter only came by twice the entire time. Noticed most of the room also had no food the entire 1.5 hours. The food was just mediocre. This is the 2nd time I've tried to eat here it's the same results. Won't be back. Because this is my birthday week, I decided to eat wherever my heart desired. So, for lunch today, I decided to eat at Sam's. I left there so satisfied, that any other eatery I choose this week must somehow compete with a very high standard! For example, I generally don't eat fried food, but today I chose the fried flounder, and it did not disappoint...it was so fresh, moist, and superbly breaded! I finally got the perfect order of fries to my liking, no salt, well done, but not burnt. One of the best parts of the meal was the greeting I received from the boss, and other servers when I entered the restaurant. And finally, my server was excellent!!!
