The sandwiches were made like you were a family friend that came in town for lunch! These people are so sweet and the food was great. Our visit was more than just lunch!

Not only is their food slamming, I had a BLT on rye, they are welcoming once you walk through the doors. This place is special and you can taste the love in the food they make. Highly recommend for any lunch-goer. My only gripe: no coffee.

This is one of the best places in Rutland. They provide exceptional customer service, and treat you like family! The grandmother is the most lovely person you will ever meet. Please do yourself a favor and stop by. I assure you you won't regret it and you'll be back!

I absolutely adore this place! I ordered the meatball sandwich, and it was incredible—delicious sauce and fresh homemade bread. The highlight for me was the warm hospitality from Martha, Terry, and Dave. They welcomed us with open arms when we arrived and engaged in delightful conversation! The sandwich shoppe is the best spot for lunch in Rutland. Our group had all been swayed to go for meatball subs (homemade meatballs and sauce and rolls! and we were not disappointed. Amazing! Love that this is a Family owned business for the past 43 years and mother Martha, dad Dave, and son Terry provided great service along with great conversation all on top of their delicious food! This is a fantastic family-run restaurant that provides outstanding service and generous portions. We tried five sandwiches: an Italian sub, a tuna melt, an egg salad sandwich, a grilled cheese, and a turkey sandwich. Each one was delicious and clearly made with care! The family that runs the place creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere, making you feel at home even if it's your first visit. It's truly a wonderful spot!

I had a great experience at this restaurant! The sandwiches were delicious and reasonably priced. It has that authentic family-run feel that you might see in an old-school TV show. The owners were incredibly welcoming and shared that many of their specialty sandwiches were created or named by regular customers. Then came the meatball sub, and let me tell you, the only disappointment was that I didn’t have more. The flavors reminded me of homemade cooking from my youth. We’re fortunate to have one of the best sandwich shops in the country right here in little Rutland. This has quickly become my favorite spot! When my family visits, this will definitely be the first place I take them.
