The food was good. I got the breakfast to go. It was hot fresh. Would visit again.

The food and service were both excellent, they treated us like family and the atmosphere was friendly.

This place was crowded for a reason. Classic dinner food done right. I had the turkey club and fries. Luckily I overhead some mention brown gravy, and my fries were smothered. Excellent.

The service was extremely slow. Three tables that arrived after us received their meals before we did. We waited so long for our food that we ultimately decided to take it to go, as half of our group had their meals while the other half was still waiting.

Great food doesn't have to be fancy or expensive. The dishes served at Scottie's of Elkins stand out due to their simplicity, authenticity, preparation with love, and nonsense. Great American diner that everyone who visits the Elkin area should pay a visit. Great food, great service and great atmosphere. Ver carta

Food I had was good and portions were large. My waiter was the best for his service. The only point was it felt very local friendly, maybe not stranger friendly. I walked in the lady behind the counter was on the phone and when she was finally done. I asked her if I should sit anywhere specific, she said anywhere. She could have told me that when I came in. Instead of making me stand there. The waiter was the best.

Ate here when staying a night in Elkins while traveling. Definitely a local place and EVERYONE was so incredibly nice both the guests and the servers. We had the owners son as our server and he was great. I had French toast which was delicious. My son has the spaghetti and meatballs and he loved. Huge portion sizes. Very good value. Husband ordered the meatloaf and said the mashed potatoes and biscuit were top notch.

I ordered the steak and eggs, and the steak was perfectly seasoned and delicious. Their homemade sausage patty was excellent. The coffee was fresh and robust, which is something I rarely find in a diner. **Price:** The prices were very reasonable for such high-quality meals. I truly wish there was a Scotties in my hometown.
