"This restaurant is a great choice if you're in the mood for some spicy Chinese cuisine. While the ambiance leaves something to be desired, the food makes up for it. Though the paper plates seem a bit economical, the flavors are outstanding. I particularly enjoyed the spicy boiled fish, deep-fried intestines with chili, and chicken gizzards. Their appetizer bar is fantastic—you can choose three cold cuts to start your meal. Most dishes come with a generous amount of Szechuan pepper, so be ready for some delightful numbness. The food is authentically prepared, and the portions are massive. We usually come here for lunch and find we have more than enough for another meal later."

If you want authentic Sichuan food, this place is awesome. If you want Americanized Chinese food, this isn't your place. Their mala spices are the best.

Absolutely fantastic. I'm not Chinese so I can't tell you how authentic it is, but I did see Chinese customers while I was in there. Even if it's not authentic it's excellent. Highly recommend!

Oh no! Sichuan City has closed down! Now there's a ramen shop in its place... *sigh*. Where are we supposed to get genuine spicy Sichuan food now? Spicy City seems to be the only option left in town... Ver carta

We were shopping at H-mart decided to stop in for a bite. I was pleasantly surprised by this little restaurant. The atmosphere was quiet and calming. We were the only people dining in so our service was pretty fast. Our food came out steamy and delicious. Definitely recommend trying Sichuan City.

I feel like this place has gotten a lot of poor reviews because the food was too spicy . Yes, the food is spicy. the resteraunt 's name is Sichuan City, and that region is known for mouth numbing spice. This being said, if you like authentic and spicy Chinese food you should give this place a try! We tried the beef noodles and mapo tofu, and both were really flavorful. definitely will come back!

We ordered seafood noodle soup, assorted fried rice and fish fillet with garlic sauce. All tasted good with the right amount of saltiness. Vegetables in the soup were not overcooked. A little too much noodles for me though. The garlic cloves in the fish fillet sauce weren't strong and actually sweet. Really tasty. The assorted fried rice was enough to fill you up. Their servings are good for 4 people. Ver carta

This is a hole in the wall place for authentic Chinese cuisine. I would definitely recommend the cumin lamb if you want salty and spicy. I would recommend the twice cooked pork in Beijing sauce if u want sweet and savory. The mapo tofu of u want mouth numbing spice. The garlic eggplant which is greasy sweet tangy but delicious. I do feel it is a hit and miss sometimes but I still love the flavors and this is one of my favorite places here is San Diego

This is a cozy, low-key spot perfect for satisfying your Chinese food cravings. With a extensive menu, you're likely to find exactly what you're in the mood for. The restaurant tends to be fairly quiet in the evenings and seems to have a lot of takeout orders. The food was delicious! The soup dumplings were a highlight, and the chicken with peppers was tasty as well. For dessert, we enjoyed sweet rice soup, which brought back fond memories from my childhood!
